The only change appears to be the citation, which is hyperlinked but has a line feed both before and after whereas the previous Editor did not have these. Disappointing!

So any advice as to how I can check that I have access to the new editor in this beta?
From your comment above it seems the concatenation effect has gone - which was how I knew I was still accessing the old editor[:)]

Here is what a new note looks like on my MAC. I was excited to see the scripture hyperlinked… but then realized that it was already hyperlinked in the original text. I tried creating a new note from scratch, but no joy.

The MAC citation looks like Windows in Beta 1 & 2. Windows Beta 3 has line feeds before and after - see http://community.logos.com/forums/p/68372/475858.aspx#475858
