I have L5 Platinum. Would I benefit any from the Noet Biblical Greek Bundle? It's the main one I'd have interest in since I'll be getting an MDiv in Biblical Languages as soon as I graduate from Bible College.

Thanks!

Nathan, according to the base packages comparison chart, I see you already have the following Greek/language resources in your Platinum library:

    • Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament, 28th Edition, with Morphology
    • Glossary of Morpho-Syntactic Database Terminology
    • Diagrammatical Analysis
    • Greek New Testament Insert
    • Kairos: A Beginning Greek Grammar with Workbook and Answer Key (3 vols.)
    • Syntax of the Moods and Tenses in New Testament Greek
    • The Lexham Syntactic Greek New Testament Glossary
    • The Lexham Syntactic Greek New Testament, SBL Edition: Sentence Analysis
    • Building Your New Testament Greek Vocabulary
    • Nunn's Syntax, Elements, and Key to the Elements of New Testament Greek
    • Grammar of the Greek New Testament in the Light of Historical Research
    • A Grammatical Analysis of the Greek New Testament
    • A Textual Commentary on the Greek New Testament
    • OpenText.org Syntactically Analyzed Greek New Testament: Clause Analysis
    • The OpenText.org Syntactically Analyzed Greek New Testament Glossary
    • A Concise Dictionary of the Words in the Greek Testament and The Hebrew Bible
    • A Dictionary of Biblical Languages w/ Semantic Domains: Greek (NT)
    • Lexham Analytical Lexicon of the Septuagint: H.B. Swete Edition
    • New American Standard Hebrew-Aramaic and Greek Dictionaries: Updated Edition
    • Vincent's Word Studies in the New Testament
    • Word Pictures in the New Testament
    • A Greek-English Lexicon of the Septuagint, Revised Edition
    • An Intermediate Greek-English Lexicon, Liddell & Scott
    • Lexham Analytical Lexicon to the Greek New Testament
    • Theological Lexicon of the New Testament (3 vols.)
    • Synonyms of the New Testament
    • Theological Dictionary of the New Testament (TDNT) (10 vols.)
    • A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature, 3rd ed. (BDAG)
    • Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament based on Semantic Dom

The Noet Biblical Greek Bundle contains the following:

    • Nestle-Aland 27th Edition Greek New Testament (Morphological Edition)
    • Beginner’s Grammar of the Greek New Testament: Revised and Expanded by William Hersey Davis; David G. Shackelford
    • A Short Grammar of the Greek New Testament, for Students Familiar with the Elements of Greek by Archibald Thomas Robertson
    • Idioms of the Greek New Testament, 2nd ed. by Stanley E. Porter
    • Liddell and Scott Greek–English Lexicon (LSJ) by H. G. Liddell and R. Scott
    • The New Revised Standard Version Bible

You wouldn't need NA-27 because you've already got the more recent edition.

You've already got NRSV. So that leaves you with the other four books (assuming you haven't picked up any of those other titles along the way in addition to your Platinum). Sure, they'd all be useful to have since you'll be getting your MDiv in Biblical Languages. The question is, do you want to pay $159.95 for them (the cost of that Noet bundle) and have to wait until that bundle gets out of pre-pub, when you get get each of them individually and have them right now?

    Total cost: $230.30

IMHO, it's worth it.  And that's how you do the cost/benefit analysis of these things. Well, you might want to also ask others whether the first three resources are ones they use all the time, but Liddell & Scott is the standout Greek-English Lexicon, so I'm pretty sure you'd want to have that eventually. Why not get a few other things thrown in for another 24.95?

Sounds good. I'll chat with my Logos sales rep about it all. Thanks!
