Downloaded and installed a book yesterday, now Logos will not stop indexing.
There is no activity in the system tray, but the software is indicating that it is indexing. No progress report either.

Your indexer log looks suspiciously similar to what I posted on stable 5.1a RC 1 here (so far no comment from Logos): Actually, I understand the indexer does finish (process 32) - however, the message to the yellow bar is not updated (process 1 stays at 2013-09-17 05:09:59.8833 1 Info WindowsIndexerProgram Setting notification icon tool tip to: Logos Bible Software is indexing (0% complete) )
Thanks NB. One day I will invest some time and try to learn the skill of reading the logs.
But was that book indexed - can you search it?
The indexer log showed the indexer had some work to complete with the main library index. The time taken is due to it updating the database of resources in each of the Indexes (Library, Bible, PB). As there were no resources to index the progress indicator remained at 0%.
If the cycle continues I would delete the folder \Logos5\Data\nsfyzsz5.pi5\LibraryIndex and restart Logos. Indexing will take some time!
Indexer never seems to finish. Started giving problems lately. This seems to be happening on the beta and stable.
Notice that there is no icon in the taskbar, but the progress indicator is reading 40% at the top.

Dave, do you think deleting the master index will still solve the problem based on the latest logs?
Still stuck at 40%.
I think it's probably not indexing, but only displaying outdated information. Restarting L5 will probably cure that.
I do wonder why Logos is so absent on this...
Perhaps they are "stuck at 40%" too. [:P]
Had shut Logos down, put the computer to sleep, restarted and now it is indexing (Task Manager confirms it) and it is downloading 61MB of data.
Lynden, I'm having the exact same issue since the recent update. Let me know how it all turns out!
As above, if the cycle continues then delete the LibraryIndex folder as the Indexer has trouble merging data after indexing the resources. Bible Index is fine.
Did a full reindex. Problem seems to be solved.
The indexer crashed while it was indexing (with no error message). See my response to a similar issue here: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/75113/530036.aspx#530036
It sounds like you've solved it by rebuilding the index, but if it happens again I'd like to collect more diagnostic information.
