L3 crash!! ALERT All First Responders!

Okay, I thought bumping my memory up to 6GB had alleviated my L3 lock-up frustrations...BUT...it just happened again! Before, anytime I had 50-60 windows opened, L3 would just inexplicably freeze without warning. How frustrating! Since upgrading, that problem seemed to be solved...until now. I'm quite sure I had no more than 75-80 windows opened (well, no more than 90, for sure), and then completely out of the blue...

FROZEN PIZZA...of the spinning kind!

This is clearly a coding error and must be attended to immediately! I will take a break and go fix a cup of coffee...maybe even fix myself a bowl of Ramen. Smile In the mean time, I'm sure a crack team of Logos professionals can attack and resolve this unacceptable situation tout de suite. Remember, this must not be allowed to interrupt my world-changing Bible studies again--the fate of humanity rests in the balance!

  • One idea is using one computer running Windows XP in virtual machines (VM) so each VM has less than 50 windows open in L3.  If the computer has newer graphics, then could use a 4K monitor (with VM's side by side) => Logos 5 on a 4K Monitor

Thankful for Logos Support => https://www.logos.com/support/logos3/windows that includes:

Libronix DLS is deprecated. Development for the LDLS platform stopped with the release of Logos Bible Software 4 and 5 but an achrive of old support articles and basic training is available below, but may not be compatible with current computers and operating systems.

    Keep Smiling [:)]

The obvious question to me is "Why so many windows?"  I rather doubt that you even know what you have open.  Open a window, reference it, close it.  Of course, there are certain windows which will always be open such as BHW4.18, but not 50-60 of them.

Is that "jest in time"?  [;)]

Doesn't the friction of spinning heat the pizza? If you are just patient ....

I seem to recall a very similar thread posted a while back, perhaps by the same person but I can't remember.

Yup, here it is: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/68818.aspx  And yes, that one appeared to be fully tongue-in-cheek as well.

Thus I say this bug report is a duplicate and can thus be closed. [;)]
