Control over fonts for songs

The song select option transfers words into the slides, but if a line is to long it changes the size of the font rather than sending it to a new line, or too many lines in a verse does not create a second slide. This should be correctable by limiting lines on a slide and letters in a line so you do not have to check your songs and customize every song. Can this be fixed???

Hello there,
Proclaim changes the size of the font instead of wrapping the text onto a new line in order to preserve the aesthetics of the slide. If you do not like the look of the smaller text, you could go into the customize menu and enlarge the text box for lyrics and see if that helps. Other than that there is no workaround since this behavior is by design.

This problem can be indeed be fixed. If you feel like there are too many lines on a slide, you can create a new verse by typing VERSE # (where # is replaced the number of your choosing) before the lines you want in a new verse. This will create a new verse containing the lines below that heading. Then make sure to place it in the verse order field in the preferred area by typing V#. If you have any other questions please ask.

I have been doing this every week. It is time consuming. It does not change the integrity of the slide if the slide maintains a limit of size and lines and forces the song to create a new slide. The software should limit the amount of characters on a line and force it to a new line, and after so many lines to a new slide. This would preserve the character of the slide and not have to force you to customize every song and slide for every worship service. Too time consuming, other programs you set once and it is done.

I am sorry to here that this is causing an inconvenience to you. If you would like to read about the reasoning behind this design decision, please read Bob Pritchett's comment in this thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/80192/561378.aspx#561378
