Loeb Classical Library Collections:

Polybius' The Histories (12 vols.) - Polybius’ The Histories documents the transformation of the Roman Republic into the West’s first superpower. What survives of his 40 books are a fascinating glimpse into Ancient Greek and Roman culture, politics, and language.

Latin Poets of Late Antiquity (8 vols.) - This collection includes the works of Ausonius and Claudian. Ausonius’ most famous poem, Mosella, was equated with the works of Virgil. Claudian was the last-known Latin poet of classical Rome, and one of the greatest Latin poets of late antiquity.

Dictionaries/Lexicons:

Lewis and Short's Latin Dictionary - The standard when it comes to Latin dictionaries. This expansive dictionary defines Latin words from the classical up through the late medieval period. Its numerous contextual examples allow you to see how each entry is used in ancient Latin literature.

English-Greek Dictionary: A Vocabulary of the Attic Language -  A valuable tool for building a vocabulary of the Attic dialect. This dictionary allows you to look up an English word in order to find the equivalent Greek meaning, making Woodhouse’s work unique with respects to other traditional Greek lexicons. Many examples were taken from the Classical writers of Greek literature, making this the ideal companion to the Perseus Classics Collection.

Select Works of Oscar Wilde (7 vols.) - Oscar Wilde rose to the pinnacle of popular society on both the strength of his writing’s biting social commentary and his glittering public persona. His best know novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray, is included in this collection, as well as The Importance of Being Earnest, Impressions of America, and more.

The Works of Edgar Allan Poe (10 vols.) - This collection includes over 2,000 pages of Poe’s memorable works, including over 40 of Poe’s famous poems such as “The Raven,” influential detective stories like “The Murders in the Rue Morgue” and “The Purloined Letter,” and dozens of other significant stories and essays.
