Kellia readings

Please include the kellia lectionary as an option under reading plans. This is a traditional Orthodox plan that is best implemented as a reading plan so it can be accomplished sooner than the more complex lectionaries.

Thank you. I'll share this with others. Interesting to note the reading schedule which is quite intense.

I asked the Dev Documents team to add this to their queue.

Thanks Gabe
They told me the turnaround would be a few days. I'll keep everyone posted in this thread when it rolls out.

The Optina Kellia reading plan is now live in Logos/Verbum.
Just make sure you schedule it to begin on a Sunday, and you'll be good to go.

Fantastic Gabe. May I suggest that you do a blog entry on it?

Error in Kellia readings - the Gospel readings have been omitted from the Revelation addition. Actually because Revelation only covers half the Gospels, the whole cycle has to be repeated in order for the Gospels and Revelation to end at the same time i.e. 20 weeks. This is necessary in order for the reading list to be repeated in perpetuity as intended.

Yeah, we weren't sure how to solve for this. One option was to leave out Revelation altogether, but I assumed most Logos users would want the full NT canon. Since the Gospels are on a four week cycle, and the Apostolos on a ten, you do the Gospels twice but are then left with a choice: re-start the Gospels, but only get halfway through (before it re-starts again), or just have Revelation be read alone for the last two weeks.
They told me they couldn't program it to do the Gospel and Apostolos readings on a perpetual, separate cycle.
I hope this still works for everyone. I don't really see a better solution (other than taking Revelation out).

That is what I would expect.

If you just double what you have, the Gospels will end at the same time as Revelation so that it works out when you just create the plan a second time

If we downloaded and used this yesterday, do we need to redownload this or will it do so automatically?

You know, I'm not 100% sure, but since it's on the Documents server, I'd imagine you should delete the Reading Plan you set up, and then start a new one. Unfortunately, if you want it to be accurate, it always needs to start on a Sunday.

Gabe you are right that one has to delete and rebuild but one can backdate the start date.
