I just changed my computer date to Dec 2, 2009 and I get all my functionality back.Excellent detective work Richard!
You really stuck to digging for the answer.
WARNING: SR-2 and Downloads
The latest version SR-2 and recent downloads (the last was c. 1.5 GB) has left many installations in a very unstable state, with L4 crashing, syntax searches crashing, missing Interlinear sections on popular reverse interlinears & LogosLXX, and Biblical people, places and things being greyed out.
My advice, what I'm doing now, is NOT downloading anything until we hear from Logos.
If you want to do this go to Program Settings and set Automatically Download Updates to NO. This gives warning of a download and you can REFUSE it.

- Biblical People, Places and Things is greyed out in PG
- NASB95 has no interlinear
- LogosLXX resource is missing
Excellent Richard! I read all the grief you were taking. Yet you kept digging to help out your brothers and sisters in need. God bless you.
I'm just glad it worked.
I wouldn't have thought of it, if Greg hadn't mentioned his issue and suspicion about the date thing, though. So I'll share credit with Greg. Oh, and then there was everything else everyone tried that didn't work.
Even a monkey with a keyboard, given enough time . . . [:)]

Thank you, Richard! My missing interlinears are back! Fantastic sleuthing. I was moving in that direction already in my thinking but hadn't quite taken the leap to try resetting my date. (I'd fiddled around with my system date a few days ago, to narrow down the problem others were reporting with L3's Home Page showing 2010 already on Dec 28, but got sick of living in the past...I guess I should have stayed back there for a few more days! [:)])
So, does that mean we get to celebrate New Year's Day again on Monday (or whenever SR-3 comes) and get a fresh start on our New Year's resolutions that we've broken already? [;)]
One thing that's still really puzzling me though, is why did this affect some people more severely (Biblical People/Places/Things didn't get broken for me) than others? Maybe the expiration dates on these beta resources were different by a few hours from each other and by virtue of being in different time zones, they expired for some people sooner than other resources?
The Logos folks are going to have some 'splainin' to do come Monday....
EDIT: Just realized my NLT RI is still not working at all. Click on "Interlinear" button and nothing happens. I guess some other people are still having problems with NLT RI as well.
Just realized my NLT RI is still not working at all.Rosie,
Did you know that the NLT RI is only for the NT at this time??? Just a guess.
No, I hadn't been aware of that. But that doesn't make any difference. It doesn't work in the NT for me either. Not that I really care. NLT is not one of my top Bibles, and if I'm wanting to do Interlinear work, I use NASB95 or ESV.
Very well done Greg and Rich!
Now I'm going to switch to my 4.0a RC1 on Win7 and see what happens!!
UPDATE:
That confirms it:-
Switch date to 30 December and all is well.
The last time this system had resource updates was before Dec 21st.

Well,
I didn' read this thread past the "zap the index folder" recommendation, so I completely uninstalled Logos and did a fresh install....
I've been downloading and indexing since yesterday...
when I woke up..my new install works perfectly! Every bit of it from BP to NLT...all searches and everything.
I don't know if it was the date or what but I'm glad it works!

There are also several missing resources. These include: LXX Logos Morphology, 1000 Bible Images, Cascadia Syntax Graphis of the NT: Glossary; and probably others.
Attempting to access Cascadia Syntax Graphs of the OT, or Lexham Syntax Graphs of the Greek New Testament, crashes Logos 4 (see log file for an instance of the Cascadia OT graphs crashing L4 below).
So far I have had no problems with the latest release. I tried out all of the resources mentioned above and had no problems. I wonder if it was the video game I played on my computer while Logos 4 was indexing that did the trick? Seriously, I wonder if it might be the version of Windows that makes the difference? I am running Windows 7, 64 bit version.

I am also running Windwos 7 64bit. I am using Home Premium. I downloaded the engine and then copied the rest of the software from another computer. I was one of the beta testers.

I was on the Beta and am having the problem. Did I read someone who was on Beta and did a complete re-install and it's fine? I did a completely fresh install on my new notebook and have the problem.

Did the date "bug" only surfice for those that have previously had beta software installed?I think so, especially those in the 'secret' 4.0 beta.
I was in the private beta program, but Logos 4 works on one of my machine but not the other. I think it works on the one which I installed from the beta DVD, and not on the one which I downloaded the very first beta.
My symptoms continue unabated... of course, I haven't rebooted the laptop for a few days (only "sleeping" it... if I can logosify a word.[;)])
Reboot hasn't helped. I'll wait until Logos arrives tomorrow to decide what to do, unless someone has counsel that'll for sure correct the problems.
(Biblical People/Places/Things grayed out in all PG/MPG reports, missing interlinears, etc.)
Waiting in peace (& running L3).
Blessings!

Bill

The complete reinstall likely works because it has the side-effect of deleting the license file; you should be able to work around the problem much more simply by following the instructions at http://community.logos.com/forums/p/8660/69429.aspx#69429
This problem just affects users who participated in the Logos 4 beta test; there do not appear to be any other problems caused by downloading and installing 4.0a SR-2 and the reverse interlinear updates (yet... [;)])

Bradley,
As you suspected, the complete reinstall worked. However, for some reason I still have the following Lexham Greek files in the "Resource Manager/Downloaded" folder:
LexhamSGGNT.lbssyn
LexhamSGGNT.lbxclv
LEXGLOSSARY.logos4
They do not appear in my "Resource Manager/Resources" folder.
Any idea?

I don't know. A complete wipe and reinstall fixed the issues for me.

I'm a little confused. I never participated in the beta. Was the NASB95 released with interlinear abilities(in the last patch) outside of the beta program?
If so mine still doesn't have interlinear abilities... I have deleted indexes, uninstalled, cleaned the reg and reinstalled twice since 01/01/2010. NASB95 no-interlinear. Oh and when I cut and paste into a note doc when there is something already in the field L4 crashes (it seems to happen only when pasting before the existing content.) This latter pasting event wasn't happening before 01/01/2010.
Thanks

Dom,
are you saying you formatted your disk and started from scratch with your OS or you "uninstalled Logos and reinstalled"?
If you just uninstalled and reinstalled...did you zap the Logos folders by hand before you reinstalled?

NASB95 was released with RI during the 4.0 beta. Do you have NASBNT.lbsrvi and NASBOT.lbsrvi (my files are dated 20/10/09 in Win Explorer, and relate to NASB95 version 2009-10-26T21:26:20Z according to Resource Information)?
You also need Bible Study and above to get the RI (it doesn't come with Home).

V3 Leaders package with a crossgrade to V4 on DEC 8th 2009 ... that may explain it, though I thought it was part of the next batch of interlinears with the release of NLT interlinear. Rereading some of the posts has made me realize I was assuming its inclusion somehow.

There were a lot of RI file updates (not the resource itself) but you needed the licence and Crossgrade doesn't give you NASB95 RI.
