I was wondering if there are any other resources that will show up in the EG "Hebrew Visualizations" - I'm looking for grammatical and syntactical analysis of the hebrew text. Any help would be great. Thanks!
The only one for Hebrew is Andersen-Forbes.
Do you know why that is? has there not been anything else published, even in paper? or is it just not a priority to Logos.
No, a lot more has been published!
There are visualizations covering the entire Hebrew Bible based on the accents/cantillation marks and other syntactical databases with visual "trees" in commercial and not for sale software. I know of four other projects. Also, Logos in the form of Libronix used to be able to display the WIVU Constituency Trees, and perform syntactical searches on its companion, but this would appear to be no longer a priority for Logos. Actually, Logos has a few other Hebrew databases that we've been waiting for since Logos 4 or before. See, the following:
On, the bright side Logos has fixed/updated the Qumran Sectarian Database , has fixed the BHS apparatus recently, and added 'Search Matching commands' to Hebrew texts. The Logos staff member who cares the most of their Hebrew databases is without a doubt Mr. Vincent Setterholm. He has either fixed the databases, or gotten others to fix them.
What the Logos5 trees look like ...
..
Denise,
How did you get the WIVU-CT to show up in Logos5? I have the SESB 3.0 (full German) edition for Libronix and most it's resources seem to be installed in Logos5, except for the WIVU-CT and the WIVU syntactical database?
Just guessing from Vincent's comments, I have Libronix w/SESB installed. That's guess #1. The other guess #2, is it arrived with Logos4 reading in Libronix. When did you install SESB3? That question doesn't imply significance; maybe a clue of how mine showed up.
BKMitchell,
you posted just the other day (June 18th) in the thread which explains how to get this display into L5
Thank you NB.Mick I'll check that out.
https://www.logos.com/product/18617/german-bible-society-bundle says that it includes the Workgroep Informatica Constituency Tree Analysis.
"This bundle also contains the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia with text critical apparatus and linguistic WIVU database, plus the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia: Workgroep Informatica Constituency Tree Analysis. The new WIVU database allow for a precise overview on how the single textual elements of a specific text passage are analyzed and hierarchically organized"
Is this true? Does it work in Logos 5?
