Lag time when turning pages while reading on my iPad mini

I'm surprised Bruce hasn't got a Logos employee yet. Maybe it's just Monday morning. Can't trust that day, since it just turns out that way.
But more seriously, absent Logos guys, I'd install Noet and try the same books. I use 4 of th eapps and notice when one is acting up, another one is behaved. In theory, it's the same code. But I'm a believer in whatever works.
While I was trying out my Logos apps for speed-iferousness, (and they're all speedy, even running with a single notes file), I noticed the Library sort was most recent, but not remotely most recent. Oh well.

So Graham or alabama, is your response time "instant"? Do you have any lag at all?
Pretty close to instant. Enough that I don't think about it!
I've just tried it on a couple of resources - one local to my device and one not downloaded.
Then I started swiping through some pages:
- On the local resource most of the time it is instant - the page is replaced by the time I have finished swiping - sometimes their is a sub-second delay
- On the remote resource again most of the time it is instant. Sometimes there is a slight delay which I assume is when Logos is downloading another portion of text. Still no more than a second if that
I'm jealous! This gives me hope that it is something that can be fixed if I just find out what that might bit.
I think what Bruce is describing is just lag issues when reading a downloaded resource. In his original post he referred to doing this when offline so network factors don't seem to be the issue in his case
Yes, my issue is primarily not a network issue although performance is even worse when I use the network. But I expect that to be the case.

It's a national holiday today here in Canada. Maybe Logos is celebrating too. [:)] It is called Civic Holiday - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civic_Holiday
I noticed the Library sort was most recent, but not remotely most recent.
I also noticed this when I connect remotely to try to find a book but it is not sorted by most recent.

Depends where you are here in Alberta it is Heritage Day ( but I feel a little silly after going to the WIKI page you said the various names are there).

Ah yes Dan, I forgot that different Provinces use different names even though the Wiki page says that. [:$] It is a good reminder that life doesn't revolve around any of us.

Along with Graham, near instant.
As with Graham I am pleased that yours works that well.
I did have a thought... Did you say this resource is downloaded or no?
They have all been downloaded to my device. What was your thought?

I remember one person had issues with his iPad and it was determined that he had too many resources downloaded... I believe the number was over 4000.

I don't know if it is anything... Try deleting the one resource and see what happens when you are pulling it from the cloud. Then download it again and recheck. Probably nothing... but, you never know. I know this solved something for one user at one time. Probably unrelated.

Please send your support info and don't forget to add a short note explaining the issue in your email (90% of our customers don't do that and it's not much help if they don't).
Have you tried a fresh install of one of the other apps to see if the problem occurs there?

Please send your support info
Thanks for responding. I'm not sure what you mean by "support info". What info do you need? Where should I send this?

I usually only use the Logos app but I will try it in Vyrso to see if that makes a difference.

If you tap on the Help icon there is a "Send Support Info" item - just tap on it and follow the instructions. This will send us log information that might help us debug the issue.

On my iPhone (iPad is slightly different):
From homepage, navigate to "more" then "help" then "send support info." This creates an email with logs attached.

Thanks. I didn't know this was even an option. I guess I should explore the app some more when I have time.
