At first I was afraid when I saw the prices, until I realized that I was not logged in.
You need to select the library of choice to see dynamic pricing.

I suppose you can guess the next question. Is there any distinctive difference between Noet and Logos 6? [:D]
Or is it the same? if so, is there a "Set Noet to Yes" command. [8-|]
Just clearing the air but... some one will ask if you can have both L6 and Noet installed on the same machine. [:P]

Great question. They are different. The Noet desktop app is geared more for the study of the humanities in general and, consequently, has a different set of tools (or, perhaps, the tools are configured in a way that is more appropriate for the humanities).
There is no "Set Noet to Yes" command ... but you can run Logos and Noet on the same machine (I'm running Noet and Verbum on my machine right now).

Ben, would you please provide a screenshot of the Noet software for Windows/Mac? Better yet put the credit on my account so that I can get the JPS Judaica Studies Library (20 vols.) . It is such a little one, is it not such a little one. [;)]

You can see it on the Noet home page -- there's a (partial) screen shot plus a video with example windows. It looks just like Logos but with a different name and icon. If it's anything like the Noet iOS app, then it's missing Bible-specific tools, but everything else works the same.
A screenshot of the tools menu would be nice.

How come the application download link is hidden on the FAQ page (a link to which is only found in the page footer)? Shouldn't there be a Support link at the top somewhere?
Edit: actually it's not a download link, but a link to the app product page, which was free for me to "purchase"---after which I was given the app download link.

I was just writing a reply when you edited this. Glad you found the desktop app product page. It should be searchable/displayable like any other product.
We're working on a full set of support pages for noet.com. For now, the desktop app has support within it. Also, I'm going to do a few basic blog posts on the Noet blog if/when we need them to fill the gap.

$51.50 - Literature Research Library (124 vols.)
$424.96 - Biblical Greek Research Library (32 vols.)

I installed it and logged in with my test id (which only has free resources associated with it). Here is a screenshot with the home page and Tools menu. It's basically a subset of Logos (plus, notice the Guides menu is not available).

I like the math even more for me!
$92.40 - Humanities Research Library (469 vols. plus Perseus Classics Collection)
Which includes:
$74.45 - Classical Studies Research Library (186 vols.)
$6.11 - Philosophy Research Library (152 vols.)
$31.28 - Literature Research Library (124 vols.)
$424.96 - Biblical Greek Research Library (32 vols.) -- it looks like the dynamic pricing isn't working for this one, as I have most of these resources but it's still only showing me 15% off, same as you
=======================
$536.80I'm also interested in the Judaica Research Library ($46.69 for me; reg $999.95).
I wish there were a way to show what I'm missing that buying these would give me.

Quick note on that. For the time being, dynamic pricing is not available on the Biblical Greek Research Library. It is geared mainly for the new Noet user who is interested in studying the Bible as literature (I suspect you own most of the materials in the package already).
We're adding a callout to the page to indicate that right now. We should have done that sooner, sorry for the confusion.
Don't get me wrong, the Humanities library (which does have dynamic pricing) is a great deal. It's just not as good the math in your post makes it look.

I've been trying to think of a way we could display that information. Because these are configured in a different way than the typical Logos packages (i.e. they don't all stack), a comparison chart won't really work.
A call to sales could probably help figure it out for now.

Hello Ben, are you guys working on getting rights to Norton's library of anthologies and annotated editions? This would be a great addition, and you would be able to break in to college English classes pretty easily. As an English teacher, I would love to have access to Norton's library in Logos.

Okay I'm dense this morning. Where is the link to download the desktop app? I can't find it after purchasing a package.

It won't be available after you purchase a package. But the link is also in your order history after clicking the order number.

Thanks - I found it. Somehow it doesn't strike me as smart to start off frustrating a user but letting them find the mobile apps but not the desktop app after ordering by phone.

Thanks for the screen shots Todd.
I was going to comment on my surprise that Factbook was included in Noet. I'm just now installing Noet so maybe I'll not update to 6.0a and see if Factbook is functional.

Ben, doesn't this inflate the price of the Humanities Research Library which includes this Library? It seems my dynamic price for the Humanities Research Library is just a bit less than the total for three libraries I get dynamic pricing on.

Hey Mark,
It shouldn't affect dynamic pricing on the Humanities Research Library at all. (Evidence of this is Randy and Rosie's examples where their total price for the Humanities Library is below the price of just the Biblical Greek Library.)

Hey Joseph,
Yes, I did see it. Sorry I didn't respond right away.
It is a passion of mine to get as many Norton resources in the Noet catalogue as possible. I think they are made for Noet (can you imagine how great it would be to read, say, the Norton Critical Edition of Machiavelli in Noet with Power Lookup open?).
Thanks for your question, though, it reminds me that I need to followup on that particular project.

Don't forget you have to login to Noet seperately (then you may see dynamic pricing)....

What is the advantage to having a dedicated Noet app? Don't the books purchased in a Noet package show up in Logos as well? Or is this for those who don't own Logos? Thanks for any clarification!

I am working on my second coffee, but still I could not see a list of "what's new to you" on Noet products. They look interesting but it would be good to get through the mass of information and see clearly what one would gain by getting one of these packages. Or is my coffee not working yet?

That was a great offer I couldn’t refuse. Purchased the Judaica Research Library and picked up 41 new resources for nearly the cost of the JPS Classic Midrash Collection alone. Excellent value! Even if one doesn’t have any of the titles, that bundle price is very, very good at $999.95 (and even better at 15% off) because the 41 resources I picked up sell for over $1000 individually. Thank you Noet for the wonderful research library addition!

I am really looking forward to the type of tools that I imagine Noet will drive on the desktop app (starting with fixing the Cited By tool or creating a more powerful equivalent!). I imagine that like that much more will be on the way as well.

Hey Francis,
Don't worry, your coffee is working!
I don't have a good solution for that right now (other than to call sales). The package configuration doesn't lend itself well to a comparison chart (mainly because they don't all "stack" in the same way that Logos BPs do) and I don't have a better option at this point.
I think sales can give you a pretty quick rundown of what would be new to you if you want to give them a call.
Thanks!

I downloaded the free desktop Noet engine yesterday. After I logged in, it started to download 30+ GB of data. I stopped it. I already have the resources downloaded in Logos on the same laptop. Just don't want to download duplicate resources on the same computer. Should I download the 30+ GB of data? Please advise. Thank you.

I hope I'm not going to need to run two programs. The reason I went with Logos in the first place was to avoid running more than one program. I'm downloading the Noet program right now to see what are the differences. Hopefully it's just a stripped down version. Please don't create competing programs.

No. Use Method 3 from https://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers#Method_3
In Noet, enter scan <path to your logos resources> in the Command box
Restart Logos.

Currently it is just a stripped down version, AFAICT. Some menu entries hidden although some of them can be opened from the command box or from synced layouts. Nothing new. I downloaded it (to my old hd) to check it out and see what's what, but I don't think there is currently any reason to have both installed. Of course, I don't know what their future plans are.

Thanks Randy. When I started to sign in Noet, the download began immediately. I stopped the download and I was not able to go to Noet homepage yet. Any other suggestion? How do you find out where your logos resources reside? Thanks.

I saw that the Noet packages can be purchased from the Logos website. Perhaps that's the route to go if one does not want two installations?

Just to be clear: all the Noet packages will work in the Logos and Verbum apps (like any other Logos resource). There is no need to download the Noet desktop app unless you want to.
