Is Biblical Languages Package Not Available Anymore?

I can't put it in my cart because it's greyed out. Does this mean that it's not available anymore or does this have anything to do with the outage?

It's only sold to members of the Academic Discount program. Maybe a sales person can sell you an assortment of original language titles at a great price - give them a call!

It is possible that it is included in you new base package. That is if you have upgraded to Logos 6. Check with your slaes rep.

It was available but now it's not. Weird but I did contact a sales rep. Hopefully I'll get some answers soon.

I could have sworn it was available to all. I might have been wrong though.

NB Mick is right it is sold to academic students. Lesson folks always read the fine print. I can be dumb sometimes
And I was looking forward to that package.

Logos 4 Original Languages, was the last Biblical Language base package that was sold to anyone regardless of whether or not they were in academia. Starting with Logos5 (and continuing with Logos6) the Logos Biblical Language package is only available to those in academia. I still do not understand why Logos(now faithlife) made such a decision. This is probably the number decision that irks me about faithlife. Had, Logos 4 only been sold to students, I would never have bought a Logos base-package, and I know others who are/were in the same boat. I personally, think Logos is turning people like you and me a way.
On, the other hand (and not I am not backtracking on what I have said above!) Faithlife (logos) now has NOET Research libraries over at Noet.com. Noet, is basically an alternative-branding of Logos that focuses on the Humanities, Classical Languages, and Literature. In addition to the Noet Research Libraries (base-packages) you also buy anything that Logos.com and Verbum.com sales and they will work seamlessly with your library.
Here are a few Noet Libraries that might be of interest:
Yes, I know what you will probably ask next; Where's the Biblical Hebrew / Classical Hebrew Research Library? Yeah, I too find it strange that Noet offers a Biblical Greek research Library, but then ignores Hebrew/Aramaic. To Noet's credit they do offer Judaic Libraries. The one that might be the most of interest to those who are interested Biblical Languages would probably be the:
Tanakh and Rabbinic Judaism Research Library
If, I haven't already said this; Noet branding and Research libraries are probably the best decision that faithlife has made. Basically, everything in their libraries are tightly curated with modules that are of immediate usefulness and applicable to one's chosen field of research.

I have had the Original Languages package since L3. Now I'm listed as having the Scholars Program, but I'm not sure whether I got that in L3 or L4. It really doesn't matter what they call it: Straw, Wood, Brass … Dilithium

Thanks for the links BKMitchell God bless you always and I agree with you the Biblical Languages package should be brought back for everyone and not just for academic students.
I can also get this also:
https://www.logos.com/product/32713/zondervan-biblical-languages-collection
I don't know how good the Zondervan BL package is vs the Academic BL package but it's better than nothing.
Bob is you are reading this please bring back the BL package for everyone.

As others have noted, BL is available to those of us on Academic pricing. However, Logos has made the decision not to include dynamic pricing for those of us who owned it in L5. The result is quite funny. Here is a screenshot of my special pricing:

I also had the B.L. series/package. Out of respect for forum rules, once I lost the options to purchase the package in 5 & 6 I went with the "other program" that specifically is aimed at working/studying with the text.

I believe I know what you're talking about. Does that program have the initials BW?

I'm pretty sure that everything available in the package is obtainable outside of it. I bought a highly discounted package for the German based apparatus stuff that missed some of the bells and whistles and then got those for very little.
The best approach to Logos is still to look at complete exegesis.

Why not? I have researched BW9 and I like the features they have including their manuscript project. Also they have a lot of Bibles included in the software without having to buy each one and the package I want hardly has any.
Of course I'm not going to turn this into a Logos vs BW argument.

Thank you for posting here! This is the type of voice FaithLife/Logos needs to hear, more.

Oh, have you check out the software that starts with an 'A'?, they are in someways like 'BW', but also have a growing library of extra modules, too.

Well, in someways I agree this can be a game of semantics and branding. So, yeah you have a strong point!
On, the other hand: Someone who is new to Biblical Software and is looking for a Biblical/Original Language package without all the other stuff is going to have a hard time finding a base-package at Logos.com being that logos no longer sells their package to the general public. That individual will end find lots of expensive logos base-packages that simply do not meet his/her needs or interest, unless he/she is will willing/able to buy Portfolio (Biblical language package is included in Portfolio). Yes, that individual if he/she taught about could buy everything separately, but I would guess it would be more likely that such an individual would simply look else where.
This why I continue to think Faithlife/Logos decision makes little sense.

The last few posts have been highly inappropriate in the forums for logos bible software. If you want to talk about A or BW they have a forum and you should discuss them there. This is in the rules for this forum. Thanks in advance for not further raising my ire

By the way, for some of my Biblical Language stuff, I do use Accordance in addition to Logos. This is mainly because both my Greek and Hebrew professors are heavy Accordance users (I need to turn on the Logos sales charm to them). It does have some great Biblical Language features if you're interested in getting a program for it, but then again, so does Logos.
I won't go into great details here, but I have been asked to put together a comparison video of Logos, Accordance, and WORDsearch (won't include BibleWorks since I don't own it). I may try to knock that out one weekend soon and post it to StillTruth.com. It won't be a "which program is better" kind of video. It's more to evaluate each program's pluses and where I use each program in my Bible study and seminary work.

What are you talking about Abondservant?
I know of the logos guidelines, but I know nothing of any rules! And, there is nothing in the guidelines that say one can not mention any other software company.
Also Abondservant my point and I think the point of this thread is not advertising but to improve Logos, and to get Logos/Faithlife to again offer a Biblical Language/Original Language package. If, you have something constructive to say then that would be helpful.
I have tried to offer help by linking (not to other companies) but to Logos/faithlife NOET line of products. Was, it wrong of me to do that? Was, it wrong of Biblical Language package owners to be upset/surprised that Logos has not offered an upgrade package for that line? Is, it against the rules to be unhappy with decisions that Logos/faithlife makes and to speak of them?
Did, you happen to notice this and did you really think that this was against the forum guidelines?:

Dan Pritchett gives the official word from the company on this here. Bottom line: it's OK to mention the names of competitors, as long as it's in a way that is relevant to Logos, and it isn't advertising the competitor's product (e.g., glorifying how much better it is than Logos) or linking to it.

BK ... please feel free to tell me I'm wrong. But I know the L3 OL package was wafer-thin. One could have alternatively named it the 'Concise OL'. Outside the guy from South Africa and AF, I used very little of it.
I don't remember what was in the L4. But the secret L5 one (for a long time) was pretty bulky, and if you accounted for the student discount, my impression was there wasn't much profit after royalties. If anything, it was either to build future customers or altruistism (I'm a former Ayn Rand aficionado, so altruism can only hurt future non-students).
Just my impression, good heavy duty OL volumes that you, George, or I would value (e.g. already have a decent start) progressively become even more expensive (Brill, etc), where the buying population thins out? Same issue is occurring in OUP.

I've talked about other competitors on here, but I do not heavily "promote" them or link to their websites, etc. It's usually only when that company has something Logos flat doesn't have, or I mention a usage case where I use the other software programs for a particular use.
For what it's worth, Logos has been and always will be by primary go to Bible Software program for doing much of my Bible study work and always my starting point. I read the majority of my books in Logos, do the majority of my seminary work in Logos, etc. There's generally three times when I resort to another app: 1. To access content not available in Logos format. 2. For specialized work where it makes sense to use another Bible program (for example, I currently use Accordance for some of my Biblical Language work since my seminary professors are more fluent in it over Logos, and it makes sense to do that work in the same app their end. I still use Logos for some Biblical Language work and for even reading one of my Biblical Language textbooks in seminary. I also use Accordance' Atlas a little more than Logos since the L6 Atlas is new and still growing. That could always change as Logos continues to expand upon it). 3. Sometimes when I've needed to quickly launch and search just a Bible, I'll turn to another app if I don't have time to wait for the normal Logos Startup sequence.
Each of the programs I use are tools in my toolbox, and each have a purpose. Logos is still and always will be my primary tool I use above all due to the fact that 1. I'm the most familiar with it., 2. It's the one I've spent the most investment on, and 3. My seminary still runs on it with most of my professors.

I don't know about the L3 OL. The first two packages I got were Logos 4 Original language package (JG) and the SESB 3.0 and I was fairly happy with them still am(of course I supplemented then by getting better lexicons), although I have upgraded and added selected books to my library over the years. I would say the L4 OL was a very decent base package (or place to start) and was reasonably priced.

You can see what was in the L3 OL package (and the L4 one) in the Logos Base Packages 2.0 Google Doc that Randy Sims and others have put together. On the Omnibus tab you'll find it in the OL column under Logos 3. Or for easier viewing, here's the Logos 3 tab specifically. Total tallies are in the bottom row. Looks like it had 111 resources.

Thank you again!
I wonder if Randy Sims and others have put one together that has a listening of the resources in Logos 6 Biblical Language Package to compare that, too.
EDIT: POST SCRIPT
Although, I am technically unable to put in my cart because I am not an academic, I can see that there are about 28 resources in the new package that I do not own a license to.

Thank you so much posting here you have been very helpful. I found that there are only about 26 items in the new Biblical Language Package I do not have in some way. And, all I can acquire through either the online store or through a sale representative.
