Uninstall Instructions for Noet for Mac
I'm running into my share of issues just getting Noet for Mac to either launch or install resources, and since I have Logos for Mac already installed on my Mac, I'm considering just uninstalling Noet for Mac and sticking with Logos.
Can someone provide me with detailed uninstall instructions for Noet for Mac so I won't accidentally trash the wrong files for Logos?
Also, I have Logos, Vyrso, FaithLife, FaithLife Study Bible, Bible Screen, and Flashcards on my iOS devices. Is there any reason to keep Noet running on those as well?
Thanks!

While if you delete the noet app and and then go into your user library folder (you can reach it right away by going in the finder to the go menu with the option key held down you should see Library appear open it up open the application support folder and in there there should be a NOET folder. Delete that folder and all the files should be gone.

Figured out how to do it. I altered the Logos 4 Mac instructions for Noet. Following these will remove Noet Mac from your machine and leave Logos Mac in tact (as long as you don't remove keypairs).
In Finder window, Home icon appears next to your username for quick access to /Users/username (For OS X Lion, please read note about /Users/username/Library folder below)
- To Delete an item: can drag item to trash OR right click on item, then click “Move to Trash” OR highlight item, then press Command-Delete. Optional: Restart Mac + empty trash after deletion.
- Before Uninstalling, close (or force quit) Noet Mac and Indexer (if purple Noet icon on menu bar, click icon, then click Cancel).
- To Uninstall Noet Mac, delete application, mono (version), caches, launch agent, plus parameter list (plist) files (username is your login name):
- Delete Noet from your Dock
- Delete Noet application (nominally from Applications folder)
- Delete com.logos.Noet AND com.logos.NoetIndexer in /Users/username/Library/Caches
- Delete com.logos.NoetIndexer.plist in /Users/username/Library/LaunchAgents
- Delete com.logos.Noet.plist in /Users/username/Library/Preferences
- Delete com.logos.NoetInstaller.plist in /Users/username/Library/Preferences (file may not exist)
- Also delete com.logos.Noet.SavedState from /Users/username/Library/Saved Application State
- Delete noet in /Users/username/.mono/registry/CurrentUser/software (folder .mono nominally hidden)
- Finder => Go menu => Go to Folder... => ~/.mono/registry/CurrentUser/software (Go) => Delete noet
- OR
- Open Terminal (inside Utility folder in Applications)
- rm -rf ~/.mono/registry/CurrentUser/software/noet
- Quit Terminal
- Optional: Delete keypairs in /Users/username/.config/.mono/keypairs (folder .config nominally hidden) DO NOT DELETE IF YOU’RE STILL USING LOGOS
- Finder => Go menu => Go to Folder... => ~/.config/.mono* (Go) => /Delete*/ keypairs
- OR
- Open Terminal (inside Utility folder in Applications)
- rm -rf ~/.config/.mono/keypairs
- Quit Terminal
- If want to Completely Uninstall,
- With download of all your Noet resources, then delete /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Noet folder
- OR
- Avoid download by using Copy Logos 4 Resources to Mac OS X, including Note to delete Noet folder after saving Resources folder.
OS X Lion note: by default, /Users/username/Library folder is hidden, with many ways to see contents => http://www.macworld.com/article/1161156/view_library_folder_in_lion.html
