Coupon that was mailed in February doesn't work
Does anyone else remember the email that was sent in February regarding the switch from Logos Now to FailthLife Connect? It there was a coupon for $100 off when Logos 8 came out. I tried to use it today, but it doesn't work. I have tried 3 times to chat online with representatives, the first time I was moved over to Customer Service, and they disconnected the conversation, the second time, they disconnected the conversation, the third time they never they never responded at all. I tried using the coupon at checkout, but it doesn't work at all.
Here is the email that I got:
Dear Martin Hall, $100 coupon to purchase your featuresAs a special thanks for being a Logos Now customer, we’re giving you a $100 coupon code toward the purchase of any feature set, base package, or library. This is a great way to ensure you maintain access to the Logos features you care about. You can even use it on Logos 8 when we release it. (Don’t worry: we’ll send you reminders about the coupon.) |

I saved it specifically so I could upgrade when L8 came out.

After customer feedback, Faithlife gave additional options instead of the $100— did you take any of those other options at the time?

I am sure FL will honor it, but their system isn't set up to take it. If someone from FL sees this post, they may be able to get that coupon code working on the web site.
Otherwise, you'll need to talk to Sales, but you might want to wait a day or two for call volume to go down or try calling early tomorrow morning.

I did not, because they said the coupon would still be good in the future.

For giggles I tried it at checkout- it did not take $100 off- but indicated it was a valid discount code.

Martin, I'm sorry for the trouble. We are looking into this for you.

I also did not use the code given in February, because their was a whole forum discussion about the codes being canceled and those moved from Logos Now to Faithlife Connect were being moved back to a grand-fathered version. If I understood correctly, if you wanted to use the code you would of lost the Logos Now grandfather option and move into the Faithlife Connect option. Also several people asked what was going to happen since they used the code to purchase Logos 7 feature sets. I never found an answer to that question. I cannot find that old and lengthy post right now.
So based on that I did not even try to use the code I was given. If I could of, I would have done so.

Martin, Kenneth is essentially correct. I'm sorry for the confusion. Let me back up:
The email you posted was the first email we sent to Logos Now customers when we switched over to Faithlife Connect. Under that plan, you would have gotten Faithlife Connect Starter, which has a small library but not quite as many features as you had in Logos Now. There wasn't planned to be any option to continue with a features-only subscription. However, there were many forum threads of Logos Now users expressing their discontent with this, including this 20-page thread with our CEO Bob Pritchett.
In response, we listened to user feedback, and decided to roll back the change to having only library-included subscriptions. Bob explains in this post: Announcement: Logos Now to continue at same price (with new name)
Notice these lines especially:
Bob Pritchett said:You do not need to take any action. We will cancel the coupon codes and set your subscription to the newly-named package automatically. It is like we are 'undoing' the last two weeks, and simply re-naming your Logos Now subscription and adding a few benefits.
Bob Pritchett said:If you were happy with the new offer and would prefer to keep the coupon code and the Faithlife Connect Starter subscription, or upgrade to Faithlife Connect Essentials, you can contact us and we'll take care of it.
(Emphasis mine.)
So you see, the $100 code was only if you decided you wanted to switch to FC Starter and contacted us; but the (new) default was to stay on the subscription that most closely matched what you already had with Logos Now. You should also have received an email to this effect in early March. I can see from your account that you have been on the "Faithlife Connect Essentials (no library)" subscription product since March 7 (though your billing cycle is still in Sept).
Again, I apologize. This whole situation was confusing, and we did our best to make it right. But if for any reason you are unhappy with the outcome, please message me personally, and I'll take care of it for you.
