I exclusively use app.logos.com on my Chromebook as my PC is shot.

Wondering which features would I be able to utilize if I upgrade to Logos 8 on app.logos.com? Could you give me specifics?

Thanks so much for providing Logos on various platforms.  I love Logos 8 on the desktop, but it is also nice to be able to read books on my iPad and on my Chromebook.  There is one feature I keep hoping for on the Web app and was disappointed it didn't make it into version 8 yet and that is citations.  Here's hoping that it will make it into 8.? at some point.

I'm late to the party--just took my first real look at the web app.  I don't see any program setting options.  I take it that's because the web app falls into the one-size-fits-all category.  Is that a correct assumption?

The specifics for the web are mentioned in this post: Logos 8 is here—and on the web! Basically it's:

    1. Better library
    2. Better documents menu
    3. Basic workflows
    4. Canvas
    5. More datasets in Bible Browser

I would guess that (1) and (2) will become available for free when Logos 8 Basic launches early in 2019. (4) and (5) almost certainly won't be free. I'm not sure about (3). Some workflows are being kept for more expensive feature sets, but whether the basic web functionality will require payment, I don't know.

Yes. At the moment, at least.

    Hi Daniel.

I was wondering if and when the web app will catch up with all the features of the desktop app. This isn't a big deal at all for me at the moment because I use the desktop app for study and the webapp for reading but I was just wondering if there are concrete plans afoot to remove the gap in functionality. I'm not even sure if this would be possible but I thought I would ask :-)

    Thanks,

ps great work on L8 all round, I love it.

Which features in particular would close the most gap for you?

Save the layout; morph searching; display discourse features, propositional outlines in original languages; send searches to passage lists. That would be a good start.

For me it would be the ability to access and search our collections.

I just want to go on record that I am very pleased with the Web App udates!  It is very close to the desktop now and I can see how soon the only difference will be off line access.

Great Job FL!  Keep moving in the direction you are going... very well done.
