I’m pleased to announce that Logos 8 is now available for purchase online, over the phone (888-875-9491), and by email (sales@logos.com).
I’m thrilled about what our team has built for you and can’t wait for you to try it. It’s my desire and prayer that God would bless Logos 8 in your life and use it to these ends as it pleases him.

A Big Change to Notes
As a Faithlife Connect subscriber, ordinarily you’d get a major update like this automatically. However, there are big changes to the Notes tool in this release, so we’re giving you a chance to opt in to see the improvements we’ve made.
We think you’ll agree with one Logos 8 beta tester who said, “I love the new notes system—it is faster, allows you to quickly find and organize your notes, and it's all around more powerful.”
On November 5, we’ll migrate all Connect subscribers to the new Logos 8 features.
As a connect subscriber I have not received an email and have never received the monthly connect subscriber email even though I am signed up to receive them,

Likewise. I've did not receive an email and have never received an email with information pertaining to me being a Connect User. I do receive other emails from them, but nothing ever about being a Connect User, specifically.

I've noticed the packages for people who had bibleworks have been modified, but CS are asking for the same price of the package that people who didn't have BW would have, which doesn't seem right to me.
Have you tried using a different browser (not logged in to your account) to check prices?

Hi Phil,
What's the plan for people who were on the Bible Works Upgrade package?
I've noticed the packages for people who had bibleworks have been modified, but CS are asking for the same price of the package that people who didn't have BW would have, which doesn't seem right to me.

Hi Fred,
The intention for the BibleWorks packages was to offer BibleWorks users an opportunity to move to Logos without having to spend a lot of money to replace books they already owned as BibleWorks users.
The assumption is that once a BibleWorks user is on the Logos platform, they would upgrade to a regular base package level.
The current BW package offering is the same library but with L8 features. Again, the purpose is not for people who have already moved over to upgrade within the Logos platform, but to give people still coming from BibleWorks the opportunity to get the libraries with the current features.
Can you clarify what you are referring to regarding CS? Are you saying that you called them to get a price on the BW package and it wasn't the price you were expecting?
If you are looking to move from BibleWorks to Logos, the best way to do that is to call the sales department.
Let me know if that doesn't answer your questions.
Thanks,
Ben

Hey Ben,
I'm not sure I follow you fully. I recently purchased the bibleworks upgrade (As I had BW before they shut down) that package with the launch of Logos8 has now changed fairly significantly.
When I phoned up customer service, they wanted me to buy the full feature set, which is very different from the updated Bibleworks package and so I was seeking clarity about what Logos intentions was for that package, do you expect people who bought the BW Upgrade Package to upgrade again with the release of L8 to get the additional resources and features the package now has? If so how does that reflect the "deep" discounts that were available to people who were previously BW users?
To be clear, the changes to the BW Upgrade package aren't just the L8 Features, there are additional books that weren't in the old package which are there now.
Seems like it hasn't been thought through properly by Logos

Hi Fred,
Give our sales department a call. You qualify for dynamic pricing on the BibleWorks packages. Perhaps that is the best way to handle this.

I upgraded yesterday, and I must say I'm very excited about learning all the new capabilities. I think the FL team has once again done a fantastic job keeping our favorite software up to date and powerful. As with any upgrade, some things have changed, so that means there's a learning curve, but that's okay, because that's the price of progress. Ultimately, if Logos helps us get more excited about the Bible (not the Bible software), then its purpose will have been achieved. FL team, thank you for everything you did to get us here!
[Y] Totally agree!!!

Logos 8 has some good changes but I am disappointed you didn't keep more of items that were in Logos 7. I see when looking at the list of changes that were made there is the intent to bring those back sometime in the future. I hope that future is not far away. I like having info on upgrades and what they are for as well updates on the library and other features. Thanks for a great start. Cliff S
I am grateful to see many new added features. I really like Canvas for inductive Bible study. However, I would like to see two features added.
First, I would like to print directly to my printer from Canvas. Secondly, I would like new features or items to be added. It would be greatly beneficial to use charts/tables (similar to what one can find in Microsoft Word) in order to provide a survey of a larger passage of Scripture. See the attachment for an example.
Thank you kindly for your consideration.
You have taken most things that were in front of our face and hidden or buried it in menus or some kind of list. It is difficult enough to remember all of the features and to know what I have access to without hiding it. I have no idea what gets downloaded or updated because you have hidden inside something else or you don't display it at all. I liked having the updates being displayed at the top. Yes I have watch the tutorials but trying to remember where it is all at is a pain.
Hi Cliff,
i am in my seventies, don’t like change and finding it increasingly difficult to remember Things.
Nevertheless, (after playing around with Logos 8 for a few weeks, watching videos and perusing these forums) I am now lobing and appreciating many of the chang3s and new features.
My prayer is that you would be able to get used to Logos 8 real quickly brother.
I am also in my seventies and I have been playing around with Logos 8 also and there are changes I like and think they are big improvement. I was looking around last night and discovered a couple things that had already forgotten about. Hopefully I will be able to recall it in the future. While I know I can search the library for new books I have purchased I would like it to be more apparent that it has been downloade. I very much enjoy Logos and have on my laptop and on my iPad which tend use more due to its convenience. There are aspects of iOS that am not satisfied with either but I have many have the same dissatisfactions. Although its recent updates were a major improvement and make it easier to use. Howver I find that Faithlife is not the only company hiding things deeper into their programs instead of being able to easily see it at the top of the page. Change is a constant in life and in time I will adapt hopefully before they change it again.

Sorry for the delayed reply Dave. I always get an email from Logos when a response comes in & for some reason didn't this time around.
I'm not sure what you mean by "via Basic Library." Logos just automatically began downloading. It was 8:3 that came down plus 117 updates & 9 updated Datasets. I'm guessing that indeed accounts for the 1.20 Gigs.
It was downloading when I threw out the question & not remembering a file that large before, it had me wondering what was coming.

Hi Rev Gordon - and welcome to the forums
Logos will NOT open. OR better it will appear to open, but the only menu items I have is:Logos and Edit. Under these two menus is simply untitled. Any help would be appreciated.
Please start a new thread and provide as many details as possible so we can try and work out what is going on.
Are you trying to run Logos 8 or Logos 9?
If 8 please post in https://community.logos.com/forums/147.aspx, if Logos 9 please post in https://community.logos.com/forums/155.aspx
