Feature Request: Ability to adjust Image Blur

It would be amazing to have the [Image Blur] check box actually blur an image. Doing so would make the readability of the foreground text much easier and would also help your eyes to focus on the right parts. Even better, would be to have slider bars that could be used to adjust the [Image Blur] and [Fill Color] amounts within the same window:
This great feature was requested over two years ago by someone else, but sadly, seems to have been ignored. I'm hoping it won't be this time around...

Thanks for the suggestions Nate. Just to clarify, that menu is all about filling the space left by images that don't match the aspect ratio. Are you saying you want an additional feature where you can apply effects to the background? Such as blurring the background or applying a color filter to the background?

I don't know about Nate but I was wishing for just that thing when preparing for last Sunday.

Yes!
The use of the term "Image Blur" is actually a misnomer in Proclaim and inconsistent with the nomenclature used in nearly all popular image editing software packages (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc). The current functionality of the checkbox should really be renamed to something else ("Smart Background Fill" perhaps?).
I have attached a few images below to show the functionality I am looking for:
1. Original
2. Image Blur
3. Image Blur + 25% Color Overlay0 -
Considering the age of our congregation, dim and blurry is the default.
