Digital signage - Fire Stick 4k times out after 20 min
New Digital signage user here - I couldn't figure out what was going on for a bit, but it seems that the Amazon 4k fire stick we use to access Firefox and the sign feed, times out at 20 minutes. I checked all the menus and I don't see any way to stop that behavior.
Any ideas?

Have you tried our FireTV app? The app should make sure the device does not sleep. You can search for Faithlife Digital Signage.

No, I forgot about that. I read about it when we first started thinking about it but lost track of that. We were trying to pursue using our Apple TV on it, but discovered that there was no way to get a browser on the new ones (you should update your instructions on that)... I will check it out tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder!

So, I just spent 20 minutes searching through the apps, category by category, and I don't see it. I only made it through about 5 categories and ran out of time. Does anyone know which category the Faithlife app is in? Weird that you can't search for apps - it just gives the categories and you have to scroll through them - unless I'm missing something.
I might just leave it on "Just Cats" - but I probably should keep looking.

I must claim pig ignorance about Firesticks. I just did a quick search of the app store on apple when I saw your post. Then I wondered if you were an Android user so searched their store too.
As far as I can see both operate the Firestick from you phone, or tablet.
(and now re-reading the post I see that Jordan referred to 'our app' so I am probable right out of line)

Got it sorted - the Faithlife app is under Utilities in the app section on the Firestick. Select it, and it generates a code that I had to enter on my pc to link my account with the device. It then gave me the option of selecting a sign feed on the Firestick, and I'm in business. Sweet, and I don't have to keep the Just Cats feed on now.
