Font change

My biggest font-y request would be the option to set different languages at different sizes. I like to read English texts with the smallest font setting, but I find that a bit of a strain when reading Greek/Hebrew. I’d love to be able to set those as larger by a notch or two. As it stands, I change the font size globally back and forth a bit. It’s not the biggest deal, but it would be nice to have.

we're looking into adding an option for users to chose from a selection of fonts. Skolar would most likely still be on that list.
Thank you for the response! [Y] The new Android 8 app is really cool, but...
... I hope the implementation of this feature won't last too long....... The choice should be screen-resolution-independent. So, Skolar would be fine.
I recently bought a new smartphone (Xperia XZ1 Compact, Android 8, and Sony preparing update to Android 9). It's really like it and didn't regret my choice. It's a very fast and comfortable high-end device, except the screen-resolution. But on a 4.6" screen... (?)

Skolar would be fine
Even Skolar has some minor issues on devices with lower resolution, but they are not bothersome enough to impede reading. The new font unfortunately makes reading strenuous. For an app that is designed to be a reading app this is unacceptable. Logos can and should do better.

Using the beta app for Android (8.0.8), the line spacing is uneven, thrown off by what I guess is handling of verse numbers. Do those on the regular app or other versions face this issue?
My screen resolution is high (over 400 ppi) - the font issues are not due to a poor display. Text is sharp, but does not look good or read well.

This is a post and question for the beta forum, but to answer your question: This has been an ongoing issue at times on iOS. I have not kept up with the status of the issue.

I also like the previous font, much more readable.

JT, do you mean the forum "Logos Mobile App Beta (Old)"? To me the term "old" means the forum is no longer active. Or is there another forum?

Or is there another forum?
I am not actively beta testing, so I may not be able to help here. It <may> be that they have moved beta discussions solely to Faithlife.com. If so, that is sad. However, when beta testing you should post where they have requested you to do so. Otherwise the "right" people won't see your post and be able to help solve the issue moving forward.

I went back to FL's e-mail to check. Well, I began by using the in-app link to 'report a problem'; that generated an e-mail to FL, which I sent. Customer service replied that they do not support the beta, and so I should post in this forum (.../150.aspx). Anyway, they have also sent me a second e-mail which states their team 'is currently aware of these issues' - so perhaps it's queued for action. I can only hope so; L8 mobile has been a disappointment so far. It's good that there is an active user base, though.

Here's a screenshot of the mobile app running in Android on my Pixelbook.
I'm in favor of allowing us to choose our font, but I may be in the minority in saying that I find this font to be readable on my device. Perhaps condensed a little too much, but I am not seeing the other anomalies others are reporting.

I would just like to add that I'm a senior citizen, my eyes are not what they once were and I have "floaters" in both eyes (vitreous detachment).
I have floaters, too. I just saw one go past! One thing you might try is to use low light mode in the mobile app and install a dark mode on your computer. I find that when I use dark mode I don't see the floaters as much. YMMV.

Thanks, Bill. It does look better on your app/device combination. Only the first line of Phil 4 has a different line spacing because of the chapter number.
