Pre Publication Link Under Deals No Longer Limited To Catholic Volumes

Since the change in Verbum homepage with the coming of Verbum/Logos 8 the link under deals that takes you to pre publication titles no longer sends you to a page filtered for Catholics.  You wind up with 1,900 pages of titles.  I don't have time for that.  And I can't find left column filters by denomination.  So for the time being I guess I'll just stop reviewing pre publications.  I have no desire to week through Protestant books to find the few Catholic ones.

(At least they have restored the "wish list" on the Logos site. It vanished with the 8 launch as well.  I have no idea why it has never even been available on the Verbum site.)

    Patrick,

Sorry about this. I've brought it to our development team, and we are working on a solution.

    Patrick,

Thanks so much!  I appreciate that too!

I like that Verbum now seems to be populated with all the resources (instead of just Catholic), but I did like the ability for Verbum to show just the Catholic ones/give priority to Catholic ones.

In the past, I would go to Verbum.com first to look at Catholic books/prepubs/sales, then to Logos.com to browse through everything else.  So I think it is valuable and helpful to have everything available to see on Verbum, with just the Catholic resources given priority or an automatic filter that you can toggle off.

Two months later and it's still broken.

Nothing like a launch and the holidays to slow things down, that's what I'm guessing.  They'll get to it. thanks for bringing it to their attention.  that was a helpful suggestion.

    I like Apples.  Especially Honeycrisp.

Just had a conversation with our website search team about this earlier in the week.  This is essentially a search problem.  I'm told the solution is coming soon.

    Stay tuned....

  • It appears to be working much better as there's an option to limit the pre-pub to Catholic works now.  However, with this change the status bar "gathering interest" "under development" etc seems to have switched to a solid bar rather than a progress bar.  Is this a new bug that's been introduced or is it meant to stay that way?  I could understand a bug, but to design it this way seems silly - why would you need a status bar going all the way across if it's not going to show progress - like how far along "gathering interest" is so you know whether you're really close to development or still a long ways off?
