Plea for Personal Books on the Mobile App (Feature Request)
I'm a fairly new customer, but I'm a serious one. I am imploring Logos to enable personal books on the mobile app. I have an android tablet and I'm out some some frequency. I also have to visit the hospital every month for permanent condition and I like to do research while I'm there. Having personal books work on mobile will DRASTICALLY enhance the value of my Connect subscription, and justify it much more. I hope the Logos isn't going to get annoyed with me, but I'm afraid this is a topic I'm going to probably bring up periodically, as I REALLY want this feature, regardless of the fact there are no plans to implement it. I don't know if it would annoy publishers or not. However, if it annoys publishers, then they should change their attitude and not be anti-consumer. Being able to use concordance tools with my own books is too good for me to not press the issue. It's extremely helpful on a computer and I really would like it to work on my tablet.

Hi Chris
What do you mean by “concordance tools” in this context?
The Concordance Tool isn’t available on mobile

Oh. Well maybe it's not as much of a big deal. I mean using concordance with my own books. It still is important to me however for it to be on mobile but I guess it's not quite as important now. concordance would be nice on mobile though.

Unfortunately, statistics showed that the majority of personal books were items by other authors. This creates a "Napster trap" that Logos must navigate by conservative choices - see https://community.logos.com/forums/p/126859/848584.aspx#848584

Alright I understand. It's not possible. You're right. A napster trap is really bad. Definitely not worth it. I read the link you sent. Thanks for the explanation. It looks like my original post didn't register maybe i clicked off the forum too quickly.

FWIW, Phil's response to this recent post might indicate that the door still hasn't been locked!
