Hello from the Verbum marketer

Hello everyone! I'm the Verbum marketer here at Faithlife. I started a few months ago, but I'm new to the forum.
Very excited to see everyone's responses to Verbum 8 and answer questions and concerns however I can. We have a lot of great content coming to the Verbum site soon, and there's going to be a bunch more next year.

Welcome to the forums, Donald!
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Welcome ... I may drive up and take you out to lunch ... (and gripe about a few genuinely minor issues that would greatly enhance Verbum) ... oops did I indicate an ulterior motive. I genuinely wish you the best in your new job.

Thank you!
Craig and I would love to take you out to lunch if you're ever in Bellingham. And please keep sending all the feedback.

Welcome!
Thanks for all you do/will do to build up this great software!
(I just posted a feature request for Verbum). Love the software - glad that Faithlife saw/sees the need to have a specialized Catholic Version of Logos!

Parabitne Verbum multos libros in lingua latina?

You know, I've been meaning to suggest that Logos/Verbum offer a Latin Mobile Ed course. Me feeling left out of the latin conversation is a reminder. [:)] Seriously though, I've been reading a lot of scholarship on theology and church history lately and the scholars of course assume everyone knows latin. I would love to start learning latin but need a course or something for structure.
Is it possible for Faithlife to put together a "Learn to Read Latin" Mobile Ed course?

Oh and hi Donald! My manners. lol

I can't make any promises, but I gave your request to the Mobile Ed product manager.

quod dicis mihi quoque valde placet.
I noticed that the first 18 volumes of Migne's Patrologiae Graeca are included in Verbum 8 libraries Diamond and up. Perhaps work on the Series Latina volumes is also underway?

Would love it but I believe it has always been the publisher who wished to keep it out of a digital version. But I would love for FL to get it.

BTT I'm all for the NJB C but what's going on with PG? I figure it's being scanned. Bit when will it be done?

Our team that processes our texts is working through them right now. We don't have exact ship dates yet, but the plan is to have a handful of volumes ready sooner and the remaining volumes after the first of the year. In the coming weeks we should have more clarity on this and will post an update once we have a clear sense of when they will hit the software.

Thanks so much for the response. I've been waiting for so many years I'll just have to wait a bit longer. I appreciate that Faithlife has gotten behind this valuable resource.

No Spanish or Bilingual Verbum anymore?

I'm seeing three tiers for the Spanish version of Verbum. Select Verbum Español from the drop down.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this was inadvertently turned to live as a part of another Logos project.
Verbum still doesn't have the rights to produce this, but we are going to revisit the rights situation with both the German publisher (Herder) and a newer U.S. publisher (Baronius) to see if we can get this licensed.

Please insure that whatever publisher you pick has clearance to licence worldwide. Thanks. [[this has been a problem with some Logos items]]
