The Facade

I bought The Facade many moons ago. So long ago it was before I accounted the month, day, and year of my purchase. Why is it that this title is showing as a new purchase and not an update. Have I missed some announcement? Does anyone know what's going on here?

Ah! the distinction does shed some light. It shows up in both the Updated and Added listing of resources. I was confused by the fact that no tagging of any kind showed for this purchase as it is my practice to tag each of my resources upon purchase. Perhaps, this is among the exceptions. Nevertheless, I am a bit uncertain as to why it appears with the newly Added resources today. BTW I am referring to the Library.

I did not know that there were facets for both "updated" and "added." You learn something new every day! [:P]

I don't think you can count on "added" to equal "newly purchased." My guess is that sometimes updates (loosely defined here) <may> end up in that list. I know that there is more than one version of The Façade floating around in the FL servers. Can you check your library to see how many you have?

Have you recently subscribed to Faithlife Connect?

Also, is the "library" on desktop or mobile? Does this oddity appear on both devices?

There it is! You've solved it. I have two versions of The Facade. The new version has been out for some time why it is that FL is just coming around with the update now puzzles me. But, thanks JT!

Well, I have had both versions for a while. The question is why did you get this now. Two thoughts:

1) If you just subscribed to FC, that might explain it. Does it say permanent or temporary?

2) If for some reason the download of this resource failed and never happened, running the more thorough “update resources” may have triggered the download.

Maybe you're a member of a group to which it was added.

My copy of "The Façade" indicates that it is a temporary resource. It was downloaded today. Not sure how long I will have it, so I've already read about 1/2 of it.

Good catch! my license is also temporary on the latest edition.
