Problem with ownership setting on "Peace Child"

What about trying a resource ID search to see if the owned book is the same as the store’s edition?
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Good point. I'm not positive how to do a resource ID search on ebooks.faithlife.com, but I tried searching for LLS:9780830749447 (the resource ID of the book in my library) and it found nothing. That looks like an ISBN to me, and the ISBN of the book on Faithlife Ebooks is 9781441266965. So it looks like it's the new Bethany House Publishers edition published in 2014, even though the text has not changed. This is from Amazon.com:
In cases like this, I believe that Faithlife usually does the honorable thing and gives a license to the new edition to anyone who had the old edition, since it is not an updated book, just a reissue of the same book by a different publisher.

I had heard of it, but hadn't tried it either until tonight. We apparently need to type resourceId:"LLS:9780830749447" into the search box. (Quotes are needed because the ID includes a colon.)
That doesn't turn up any results, but it might be because your older edition was pulled from the store.
Here's a resourceID search that worked, based on an ebook from my library:

That is not the case. I think you are confusing what happens when a resource migrates from FLEB (Vyrso) to a Logos edition. In that case, FL does typically grant you a license to the Logos edition.
Publishers do crazy things and are not always consistent. Sometimes they create new "editions" when they are simply changing the cover of the book. When that happens, FL retires the old version and starts selling the new version. Although the "guts" may be identical to what you have, it shows up as a new resource. As far as the publisher (and consequently FL) is concerned, you do not own the "new" resource. For this reason, I have repurchased a number of resources by accident. When I discover that I have done so, I request a return/refund.

Thanks for that explanation. It does sound pretty crazy. I can understand why FL wouldn't be at liberty to give us the license to that new book, then. But it would still be nice if they showed us somehow that we already own an older edition of it (and gave us a "hint" that it was exactly the same as this one, so that we don't accidentally repurchase it and have to go to the trouble of requesting a return/refund).
