When I select a word or phrase, the Resource Text Selection Menu offers Copy Bible Verse, but not the text that I highlighted. The list of new features implied that the Copy option would be available on this menu.
The phrase has to be more than 5 words.
I don't see the point of this minimum. The Copy option should be available no matter how large or small the selection.
Hmmm. We are going to get a crowded Selection menu to replace the crowded Context menu!
The intent is to include functions more relevant to the amount of text selected, and it will always be a compromise. Someone wants Add Note by Reference, which would belong to the menu for both selection criteria. Perhaps Copy could replace Search; which is also on the Double-click and Triple-click Action Program Settings?
In my mind, the Selection menu adds confusion rather than clarity. I don't see the point of having 2 pop-up menus. If I want to work with a selection, I just choose Selection from the Content menu and I have a whole range of choices that are far greater than the Selection menu.
I do appeciate that one option on the menu is "Turn off Selection menu in Program Settings."

I've come to regard it that way. The suggestions/discussion for Notes by Reference vs Notes by selection shows how confusing that it can be, in addition to the arbitrary length of a selection determining what features are available.
The Copy option should be available no matter how large or small the selection.
We agree. This change is in the works. We were trying to be smart and offer the top few most likely actions the user might want based on their selection, but we missed the mark with this one.
