Syncing
I use Logos 8.6.0.0052. When writing, I use Logos on a PC (Win 10) at home and at work. I also read on my iPad (3rd gen) and my Android phone (Moto Z2, Android version 8.0.0). Recently, I discovered that my iPad highlights are not syncing to Logos when viewing with either the Android or PC.
Looking around the Forums, I think I have discovered that this age of an iPad simply will not sync Logos to Win 10. If that is so, I have an additional question:
If I get an iPad Pro, will it sync with my older iPad so that it picks up my highlights and notes? Will the synced highlights now on my iPad Pro be synced to Logos on my PC and Android?
Thanks ahead of time for any help, because I have a load of highlighting that I hope I'm not going to lose.

What version of the Logos App are you running on your iPad? I believe the current is 8.4.0.0124 I believe the version of the App is more important than the vintage of your device.
You may want to cross post this in the Logos Mobile App thread.
From this post it appears that closing the app on the iOS device may allow it to sync to the cloud which should populate highlights on the other platforms.
This thread discusses the importance of having the current version of the app if you want to sync with other platforms.

The age of the app is not directly related, nor is your use of Windows 10 relevant. The version of the mobile app may be the issue. Which version are you running?

I can't tell you how many times I have closed the app, and even rebooted the iPad. Yet, I did it again just now, and my highlights populated. Can't imagine why it didn't work before but I'm glad it did this time—and I"m happy for your helpful response. Thank you.

This is severely out of date. If your iPad can't update the app to the 8.x releases, then yes, you will have issues.
Which specific iPad do you have? Which specific version of iOS?

[Y][Y] - JT is MUCH more knowledgeable than I when it comes to Apple devices. He will give you sound advice.

I just checked and the highest vision of iOS you can use is iOS 9.3.5. Your device is unable to update to a version of iOS capable of running the newer versions of the Logos mobile app.
In other words, the reason you are having troubles syncing is not directly because of the age of your device, but because that device is unable to be updated to a higher level of iOS. So lets get back to your original post:

- Have you verified that the notes you want have synced from your iPad to your computer?
- Buying a new iPad will have no bearing in the saving of your notes, but you should be looking to buy a new one if you plan to continue using the mobile app on a tablet. The version you are using is no longer supported.
- I have a small iPad Pro and love it... but just bought a brand new regular iPad for my sons. Many/Most of the features from my iPad Pro are now on the "regular" iPad. If you are wanting the LARGE screen, that is a different issue. However, I would not recommend most users purchase the smaller iPad Pro currently.

Yeah, I read some more a little while ago and when it did not sync, I closed Logos and even restarted the iPad and my PC. No highlights this time.
So, I'm hoping that when it did sync earlier, that everything I've been reading for however long that it hasn't been syncing, did indeed sync. That would mean only one sentence isn't synced. Here's to hope!
Now, if I get a new tablet, it should sync things going forward from this caught up state. I wonder what kind of tablet to get though. What will work? iPad Pro? Something Android? Or is there a way to limp along with this iPad? Doesn't look like that's an answer.

Thanks for you help.
I've been looking at the iPad Pro 9.7 inch display. Think that'll do me right?

This is largely a personal preference since there is near parity between the Android and iOS apps. JT could advise the best iOS. Since your phone is already an Android, you may be interested in (I just ordered and am waiting delivery) of a Kindle Fire HD10 - which would give a facsimile of your phone app only with more screen real estate.

If you plan to continue taking notes, you need to make a new purchase.

That is up to you. I wrote about iPads in my past post. You do not need a "pro" unless you are wanting a very large screen. If you want someone to tell you what to buy, then get THIS. It is currently on a significant sale. NOTE: New iPads are expected later this year. However, this device will last you many years and is at a great price.

I know this seems semantics, but it is not. Logos does not sync between devices. It syncs to the cloud. If you buy a new device, it will download all that is in the cloud.

I can't be of too much help with such an old version of the app... I quickly forget what "the old version" used... and we have had many versions between what you are using and the current app. With that said: You should check the documents portion of the app. It will help you to discover what notes may be missing or not.

Don't get that. [:O] [:P]
I do have a Kindle Fire and hate it. If you are going to get an Android device, get a real one.
