Would it be appropriate to post a Logos 8 Training Manual on the Logos Forum?
I've created a Logos training manual that imports very nicely into Logos with the Personal Books Tool.
I give it to friends, family, colleagues -- but primarily I use it to train Christian business owners / leaders in South America to enhance their ministry to family, neighbors, employees, and clients.
I would have a two-fold purpose on posting it here:
1) To bless anyone who might benefit from it
2) To get any feedback that folks might provide to continually update / improve the manual
So I have two questions:
A) Would it be appropriate to post it here?
If so, I have dozens and dozens of URLs to FREE Logos Resources -- should those be removed if I were to post it here?
Thanks ahead of time for any comments and consideration.
I try to make the manual very graphical so as to be simple as possible for my South American friends... here's a screenshot from it:

Since you created this document, I assume there are no copyright issues. Links to resources are fine since a user who is accessing the document as a personal book already has an account and some licenses. If they click a link to a resource they do not own, Logos will not allow them to open it.
I would post the file in a .docx format on the Files forum

I will look forward to seeing this. If you post it to the other forum, post a note here letting us know it is available.

Yes I am interested also [Y]

I'd be interested also, but I don't know whether it's appropriate or not.
One possible issue is that Logos (and Morris Proctor) offers paid training material, and this might cut into those sales.
Might want to ask Bob or Phil, directly via email, then let us know.
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

I'm incredibly humbled and blessed by all the encouragement and interest.
Based on the first two comments -- I went and created a post for the manual (https://community.logos.com/forums/t/182780.aspx).
But, after, I went back to this post and saw Petah's comments; I see wisdom in that.
SO, I edited the manual post and removed the download links, until I hear from Bob/Phil.
Your Servant in Christ,
Scott

Check out Bob's contact details or Phil's contact details.
This forum doesn't have Private Messages, but you can either email one of them, or message them via https://faithlife.com/
Hope it all goes well, Scott, as it looks like you've put a lot of work into your training manual, and there definitely is interest.

If this would be the case, then many of the forums activities would be inappropriate because I get most of free tips and suggestions here from forums. And by the way, Mark Barnes unofficial Logos 4/5 videos as well.

Thanks for your comments Petah.
Wild Eagle, I think you are spot on. But I'm brand new to the forum and don't know the culture / protocols... and since I don't have a long standing relationship here, I feel I'm better to air on the side of caution until I hear from the leadership. Sincerely, thanks!

Here is something from morris proctor that might help you with your internal links:
Create hyperlinks to jump to other locations in the personal book or to other resources or panels.
• Use Word hyperlinks — Select text to be hyperlinked and press Cmd+K (Word for Mac) or Ctrl+K in (Word for Windows) to insert hyperlink.
• [[scheme:reference]] — Example: [[http://www.google.com/]] or [[GreekStrongs:g3056]]
• [[surface text >> scheme:reference]] — Example: [[Logos Bible Software >> http://www.logos.com]]
• [[surface text >> position]] — Example: [[Quotations >> logosres:mwdictquo;ref=Page.p_349;off=167]]

Thanks so much Mike! Unfortunately, there's nothing in there about internal links (links that point to the word document itself).

Petah is technically right (the forum guidelines say we shouldn't give anything away). But those guidelines were created before Personal Books were a thing in Logos, so I don't think the guidelines are intended to forbid sharing Personal Books. (Although there is an unwritten rule that we don't share Personal Books that are exact duplicates of public domain works available for sale in Logos.)
So while this isn't an official answer, I can't see Faithlife being unhappy with user-created support documents (so long as they're accurate, of course). They've consistently encouraged user-to-user support, not least through the forums.
With regard to internal links within a PB, you have two options:
- Add arbitrary page milestones and then link to the milestone.
- Use Word's bookmarks and then add a Word hyperlink to the bookmark.
This is my personal Faithlife account. On 1 March 2022, I started working for Faithlife, and have a new 'official' user account. Posts on this account shouldn't be taken as official Faithlife views!

Hey folks! This thread is probably actually dead; Logos was very gracious in their response: "Thank you for your email. We are happy to help you with your question. I ran this by Phil and he said that you are more than welcome to share the links. We appreciate you doing this work and sharing it with others to use. You can post this information in the forums or contribute to our user wiki at https://wiki.logos.com/. Again, thank you for doing all of this work and sharing your expertise with others. Let us know if you need anything further."
