Hiding Resources
I know there has been discussion in the "Logos 4 Philosophy" thread about being able to hide resources. Is this possible yet? I realize it won't mean reclaimed drive space, but I would at least like to hide things - lots and lots of things.
So can we do it yet or is that still to come?

Still to come! My expectation is that hiding resources will save disk space because Logos will remove the resources and re-index. If I re-install, or do a clean install on another machine, the resources will not be included until I change my mind!
Hiding in v3 was not totally successful because the resources remained on the drive and the software had to pretend they were deleted.

Dave, sound fine so far...some further questions...
When you do decide to change your mind, how do you see L4 assisting in this decsion. Should it maintain a 'log' of resources that you have 'hidden', viewable from a L4 interface, so that you can easily determine what falls into this bucket. Having determine you want to re-introduce a previously hidden resource, what do you see as the process for this to be actioned.?

There was a comment by "Bob" that the Logos servers would look after this sort of thing. BUT he did not go into details as to the how...

As Stephen commented Bob did not provide any details. I'm just fleshing out some implications of the concept. Principally that Logos avoid the trap of doing it in software as v3 valiantly attempted. As v4 has a resource Index the best way is to properly re-Index and remove hidden resources rather than ignore, or throw out, index results for those resources in an Entire Library search, which will impose a performance penalty. Logos need to provide an appropriate interface for Hidden Resources, and i suspect they will maintain the data on their server as it affects their management of our resources, knowing which are actually missing and which should be (push) updated to each of our installations.

But what happens if this data is maintained in the cloud only and you do not have access to the cloud for whatever the reason maybe and you want to restore access to a hidden resource ? I don't really see relying on the cloud soley for account management a good option.
