Logos needs to take advantage of the new iPad Pro

I have been using the iPad pro 12.9 since February. I regularly write my sermons using Logos on the iPad. I need to use the web app to do so (which is not ideal). I will typically have safari with app.logos loaded in desktop form then i can use the other half of the screen for looking at other books Or notes. Using the app.logos from safari adds some features of the desktop version, but is not necessarily ideal. I still use my computer at times.
It looks like PadOS 13 will support having two copies of Logos open on your iPad in separate tabs.
I really do hope that Logos will put more effort into supporting some of the unique power of the iPad especially the Pencil. I find that the easiest and most pleasurable device to do my reading on is my iPad.

Any updates to this? I saw where the desktop version now has pen support for notes.
‘This needs to happen for iOS soon.0 -
Please please please make this happen!

I’m running the PadOS beta on my iPad Pro and I am unable to open two copies of Logos at the same time. I was really looking forward to this and hopefully it will be added soon.

I was looking forward to public release of iOS 13 for iPad on 9/24 so I could run side-by-side. That's not functioning right now? Bummer

Totally agree. I really hope they update it soon to take advantage of the new multi-tasking. On the old version I could run Logos side by side with other apps but now that doesn't even work. Update soon I hope.

As a workaround that has always been able to work, you can open Logos and then one of their other apps (like Faithlife Study Bible or Faithlife eBooks) in another side-by-side window. This way you can run two separate, slightly different versions of the app simultaneously.

This is working for me - are you still having problems with it?

I am considering getting one of the new iPads, Do you think it's got enough juice to run two copies of Logos or does one need the Pro to make it fly?

I don’t think you can run two logos instances side by side yet.

All I can day after having the new iPad Pro 12.9 (2020) is YES! I extensively use Logos for seminary and now through my doctorate and when preaching i use my old iPad. But the new iPad opens the door for so much more. I will rarely use my MacBook Pro (2015) moving forward, but i guess for the full version of Logos we can always use the web-based version correct?

The web based version is not the full version of Logos. Many features are still to come on it.

I try to live in the web app as much as I can. But you can't even do simple things like edit prayer list or reading plans in the web app. So I end up having to pull our my old 2015 MacBook 12" and boot it up, and find power cause its battery isn't holding a charge, then boot up Logos Desktop make the small change then shut it all down. Can't edit Reading Plans on mobile either.

Oh pretty please can we have apple pencil support?!
I need a good reason to keep my apple pencil [:D]

If your 2015 supports Sidecar, you never have to open your MacBook again and technically you can have full fledged Logos on your iPad.

Unfortunately mine does not.

If you wanted you could get a Luna display dongle and then the free app.
itll do the same thing and is actually a bit faster.

Totally agree. Plus, I wrote logos a couple of time on this issue, and never got I real feedback other than : "You are welcome to suggest features for the mobile app at https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-mobile-app and we can look into your feature suggestion for the app!" Which I did... so, please... it looks they need more people to tell them It seems that it has been suggested since a few years already. So, let's keep hoping..........

Thanks for keeping this in front of Faithlife. Could you imagine in Logos 10 was primarily focused at updating for mobile taking advantage of iPad Pro and Apple Pencil?

Yes. I would ignore it completely. [:P]
