Logos not responding after update

Good Morning! I just updated Logos and expected to be able to reopen the app and get to work. Unfortunately, it won't load.

I'm on a Mac desktop running High Sierra. All I get is a blank Logos window and a spinning circle. I can't even click on the menu to see what version this is.

Can anyone help? (I tried the online chat, but they are closed now.

Which specific version of macOS? Have you tried restarting your computer? You may need to post logs. See my signature line.

macOS 10.13.6

I was able to restart Logos using the command key. I found the update version: 8.8 SR-1. I selected my layout, and it did load, albeit slowly.

So I restarted my computer and Logos opened with my selected layout. So that's good. I delayed the indexing, but the app is running very slowly. In fact, it's slowing everything down on my computer. I couldn't even get to this page without forcing the app to quit. It was "updating documents" or something like that, I can't remember. I may need to just let it run and work on something else today.

How much free space do you have on your drive? Is it a traditional hard drive, or solid state (SSD)? Which specific computer? Is there a reason you haven’t updated to Catalina? FYI - FL will soon put 10.13 and earlier into maintenance support (see link below)

lol ... I have a huge HD. It's 2 TB with almost 800 G available. But my Mac is a 27-inch 2011. I know that replacing it is in the not too distant future. But to replace its equivalent will be close to $2k.

You will find significant performance improvements when you move to a solid state (SSD) drive. I believe that computer can take the upgrade, if you want to milk it a bit more. Don’t know about the OS though. Are you maxed out?
