Awesome. Glad to see this forum created! Think it will work better than the FL group. Thank you.

I could have sworn this already existed. Wasn't there some form of a beta mobile app forum already?
anyway... Cool!

There was a private forum previously. When FL was able to expand the numbers of beta testers on iOS, they switched to the FL social media site. I was not a fan, and am very glad to see the return of a dedicated forum!

Hello, and thanks for the Beta Forum.
Do the Logos Bible iOS App developers receive feedback through Apple TestFlight?
I recently submitted two new bug reports for Logos Bible Study Tools 8.9.0 (41) through TestFlight and want to make sure they are addressed.
Thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric, we do read every report that comes in through Testflight but we can't respond to each one. We appreciate you taking time to submit the feedback... Test-flight is an important feedback channel for us and we're grateful for users like you who take time to submit detailed feedback and bug reports.

Where do you get an invitation code?
Daniel or one of the other FL employees will have to invite you. Having expressed your interest here is a start.
iOS Beta app invitations haven't been required for nearly two years.

I was glancing at this thread and was curious about this Beta Mobile app.
Is the Mobile app an attempt to make the full version of the Logo's software available on mobile devices? (Chromebooks specifically?)
If so, I would love to demo and provide feedback. I have the Logos app from the Google play store installed but it's not as efficient as the web version on my chromebook.
I was going to start saving for a cheap Windows computer...but it sounds like this may work out better for me. (I'm currently taking one of the certification courses with Logos and have to use the computer at the church once a week if I need to take quizzes.)
I do IT stuff for a living and wouldn't mind helping if it enables me to do my coursework on my Chromebook.OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 Home

That has never been a stated goal - they are currently intended to provide different features with the mobile app being much less functional.

Thanks for the clarification. The Mobile app's features weren't very clear to me.
In that case, I'll start saving up for a more convenient OS.OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 Home

How do I join the beta? And what new features are there with it ?

MacbookPro vs iPad Pro?
Quick question... My MacBook died this morning. I am an assistant Pastor and use my MacBook and Logos software for preaching preparation and study. Trying to decide if I should replace my laptop with an iPad Pro. Is the current or Beta App sufficient to act as a replacement for the Desktop version? Curious what you all think before I spend a lot of money.

Hello! I have a question about using the software search, but I can't see how to add a new post

Replace your laptop bro. The iPad is the same as a phone app. It don't even come close to how you can use logos on a computer. The logos on a computer is a software program where as the app is ok only an app and lacks a lot of functionality.
In the long run you are better to just buy a new computer. Could even go windows as long as it had an SSD and 8 GB
of RAM you're good.

Depends on features used in desktop application: for me, the answer is No (as mobile app currently cannot do visual filter highlighting)
Knowing Apple Silicon models are coming soon => Rumors of Apple Silicon Chips? (included iPad Pro speculation) would be inclined for inexpensive usable Mac purchase now. Other World Computing offers used Mac models (search for Retina finds 17 MacBook Pro models today) => https://eshop.macsales.com/search/?q=retina&filter.dimension_model_97=MacBook%20Pro&filter.catidpath=4160&sort.price=asc and Apple offers refurbished Mac models => https://www.apple.com/shop/refurbished/mac

Thanks all. Good feedback. You are right - I really need a desktop or laptop for research and sermon prep. I already have a 24” LG 5K Mac compatible monitor, so I’m going to order a MacBook Air. Terrible timing with the new models coming out soon - but I need to get back to (prep) work now. I could always do the (bad) thing and “hand down“ the Air to my wife when the new model arrives. [*-)]
The current Air is half the price of my 2016 15” MacBook Pro, and appears to have comparable performance. The lighter weight should also Make it more portable. I’ll provide an update once I have Logos installed. Not worried about performance as past testing has shown the SSD to be most important for Logos.
Thanks again.
