Calibre is frequently recommended, Blair. It's certainly helpful, and worth trying, if you haven't already.
I hear people recommend Calibre and I have used it some, but I find it quite confusing with all sorts of settings which I have no clue what to do with. So I am curious, how do you (or others) use Calibre? What settings do you recommend?
I have had the most luck utilizing the most recent version of Word. Sometimes I use online PDF to Word conversion programs if Word doesn't seem to handle it and then my final try is Calibre. I'd would love to hear what works best for others.

yes
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I've done it, but it's a lot of work. I created a PBB out of Dynamics of Spiritual Life, long before Faithlife offered it in pre-pub, because it was out of print and I figured it would never come out in Logos format. I scanned the whole document to PDF, OCR'ed it, and manually proofread the entire thing and fixed all the OCR errors. It was a time consuming process, but I was glad for the opportunity to reread that great book which I'd read in seminary. But why I did all that work for myself, I'll never know. (I was not allowed to share it with anyone. I asked the author in person -- he's a friend of a friend of mine, and he declined to give me permission.) Now it turns out it was all a waste of time.
