Aquinas Institute Opera Omnia (27 vols) -
Very excited to see Aquinas's biblical commentaries et al. coming to Verbum in the Latin/English editions from the Aquinas Institute.
When in prepub, the 43 volumes of the works of Augustine put out by New City Press were originally listed at a 35% discount, and a short while later this was improved to a 50% discount (which made it much more feasible).
Any chance of the full 27 volume set of Aquinas going to a higher discount level than the smaller collections?

This is an edited version of the classic translation freely available on the Net and already available from FL, augmented with a Latin edition. I don't know whether or how the Latin edition the Aquinas Institute is offering differs from the Latin edition offered by FL.
Can anyone who has access to the physical edition of the Aquinas Institute version compare it to the original and give me a sense of how much has been changed?
Personally, I'm interested in acquiring a translation of the Summa that is a lot more literal than the earlier version, rather than one with perhaps a few typos corrected.

I'm of a similar mind, I think. I see the greatest value in acquiring the Pauline commentaries and some of the other works, like the commentary on Lombard's Sentences .
Another version of the ST is not going to add any significant value for me. The extra 5-6% discount on pre-pub for the full 27 vols (including ST) doesn't seem worth it.
Bible Commentaries (34% off): $149.99 + SCG/Sentences/Opuscula (34% off): $97.99 = $247.98
Paying an extra $100 for the ST by purchasing the full 27 vol set at $347.99 is a hard sell...
Now, if they wanted to wrap the full 27 vol set of Aquinas in a Verbum 9 library, perhaps at the Gold or Platinum level... [:D]
