Is there a way to display special unicode characters on the slides? In the attached image, the unicode arrow (↓) shows up on the left, but not on the right.
I assume it’s just our font. You could try a few others, or you could upload one you know works and then use that one. You can upload fonts in The settings.
That does not resolve the problem either. I installed Montserrat. See screenshot below...
Jordan, do you have any other ideas for troubleshooting? Am I missing anything else? Still won't show arrows on slides.
That’s odd! We will need to do some more testing in-house
Great! Thanks for looking into this!
Hey Jordan, any update on how your in-house testing is going? See my screenshot below. On the left is a bunch of unicode arrows. Every single one of them shows up as a box with an "x" in it on the right side.
I'm sorry for radio silence from me. I believe the UI in the editor falls back to another font in order to show the extra characters, however, the slide on the right is using what ever font you asked for. It seems most of our fonts in Proclaim dont really support those characters.
I got it to work with asap:
We have some work coming up in this space, so Im adding a note now to take a look at these kinds of characters
Thanks Jordan, that's helpful. I tried that font and four arrows successfully went to the slide.
I'd love it if you could make this happen for all font types, but I understand that it may not be possible. Also, expanding the number of available unicode arrows would be helpful too.
