Occasionally we would like to have a video and put a translation or songtext over a video. Are there some way of doing that?
You would have to edit the video as desired in a third party software, then upload the completed product as a video.
Not at the moment but I could have done with that facility this week.
I wonder if it would be feasible to allow a video to play behind a 'slide group' of content slides. I wouldn't mind having to advance the slides by hand the way you do with a hymn.
With OBS (free):
Add a lower thirds slide to Proclaim.
Set the transparency color in Proclaim to green.
Add a Proclaim window capture to OBS over your video device.
Right click the Proclaim layer in OBS, click filters and add a chromakey. Select "Green" and wiggle the sensitivity, bleedthrough and opacity bars until you like it.
To display on your screens, right click the preview window and in OBS and project the preview to your displays.
HI Rolf,
Here is an article that shows you how you can do what your asking with Proclaim. This is called lower thirds and essentially uses green screen technology. You will need to use either a software or hardware video switcher or encoder that support keying to get the text to overlay on top of your video.
Can I Show Live Video While I Present?
Blessings!
Thank you. Very useful article.
