Logos keeps crashing

Hello all,
I could really use your help. I recently got a new Macbook Pro for work. I have repeatedly downloaded Logos from the website and installed it. Upon trying to open it, it goes to the loading screen for about 20 seconds and then crashes. It keeps doing this and doesn't stop. I have deleted it and redownloaded it multiple times. I cannot figure out the problem. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

My Logos program is also crashing this morning and was working last night. Should I delete the whole program and start over.

Hi Scott, welcome to the forums.
Make sure that you drag the Logos icon (in the DMG folder) to your Applications folder. Be sure you start Logos from the Applications folder, not the DMG folder.
If that doesn't work, then collect your logs and post them as Lynden has suggested.

John, your issue is likely different from Scott's. Please collect your logs (see my signature below) and create a new thread explaining your issue. Attach your logs to a post in that new thread.

Levi,
Thanks for that. I had made sure that I downloaded and installed it properly. I repeated that process multiple time, including opening from finder/applications. Still crashes before fully opening.

Lyden,
I downloaded the utility, attempted again to open logos, then ran the utility. Do I wait for support to email me back to send them the logs?

I have had logos for a long time. It was a first time installation on this machine.

Program seems to be working now with opening by holding the Control Key. Thanks.

You can also post your logs to this thread...use the paperclip icon...sometimes a forum member can figure it out quickly.

I wasn't sure which to upload, so I tried this one.

You are using Logos 7.19--go and download the free Logos 8 update and it should work fine. See here: https://www.logos.com/install
Logos 7.19 will not work on macOS 10.15.4
EDIT: I mean here: https://www.logos.com/product/168880/logos-8-basic

If you Sign in and open to a blank layout, it means there is a problem with the layout you normally load. You could redo that layout and start normally, but upload logs if it keeps crashing.

Thanks everyone for your help. I heard back from support and found out what the problem. I was still using 7 and they stopped support for it on Mac Catalina. I thought I had upgraded to the 8 basic, but I guess not.
