Proclaim Display Output Settings for Video Content

Hi there,

We are about to restart onsite services as well as continue online services. We are currently ouputting proclaim to an ATEM mini to get proclaim content into our livestream overlaid on our video feeds. This currently set as a "slides" display output which is fine given we aren't using the onsite displays at church. But once we move onsite as well, I want to set the onsite displays to "slides" but the livestream display to "slides-foreground" so we can continue to overlay content on our video feeds in the ATEM. I can do that and it works for all service items except video content in proclaim. It seems video content only outputs as part of "slides" (or maybe "slides - background"). Is this correct? Is there a way I can output video content in proclaim as "foreground" content so it shows in the livestream display and onsite displays without having to change the livestream display settings on the run?

Regards,

Mike Smith

We are in the process of adding an ATEM mini pro to our setup and will have this issue as well. We will have one camera input into the ATEM and 2 inputs from the Proclaim computer.  We are planning to introduce a splitter to the HDMI output going from the Proclaim computer to the projector which is set to "slides". One cable from the splitter will send a signal to the projector and the other will go to the ATEM as a video input. We will do the same thing for our lyric overlay (foreground only display). Of course, this will work for us now because we will only have one camera input. Eventually, we plan on having 3 camera inputs so we'll have to revisit our setup but with tech inventory hard to come by these days I suspect that might be a little ways off.

    Hi Mike,

This has come a few times and I'm checking in with development to see if and how we can address this.

Because videos are currently shown in the background layer of Proclaim, there isn't a workaround to show videos in the Slides (Foreground Only) output at this time.

Your best solution would be to send a separate Slides signal (same the one going to your projector) to your video switcher and change the source when you are playing back a video.

There has been some conversation of adding the flexibility of showing videos in the foreground however I don't have an ETA on that at the moment.

Along similiar lines, it looks like Powerpoint slides import as background items also, and for similar reasons would be helpful if there were an option to import them as foreground items.
