Searching for Three-peats
The word "holy" is repeated three times. Once in Isaiah and the other in Revelation. I was wondering if any other word or phrases are repeated three times in succession. How would I search for that?

Revelation 8:13 three-peats "Woe" or "Terror" depending on your translation

The Morph Query Builder is perfect for this. Morph Query documents can't be shared yet, so you'll need to rebuild it yourself.
This example shows same lemma three times in a row. Switch to root, if you prefer. Or change the number of occurrences.
You'll have to build one for the GNT and one for the Hebrew Bible using the same basic approach.

If you match on lemma, there are only three in the Greek NT:
- Luke 13:33
- Revelation 4:8
- Revelation 8:13
But the first probably doesn't qualify, since there's a sentence break between the first and the second.
In the Hebrew Bible there are eight:
- Exodus 21:12
- Numbers 35:21
- Isaiah 6:3
- Jeremiah 22:29
- Ezekiel 21:32
- Ezekiel 42:13
- Ezekiel 45:3
- Daniel 2:37
Here they all are in a passage list document.

Rev 4:8 and Is 6:3 with holy, holy, holy were the only two I knew about. Jer 22:29 land, land, land and Rev 8:13 woe, woe, woe was the kind of thing I was looking for. I'm not sure how the others fit what I was looking for. I wanted the same word in succession three times. Thanks for the quick response.

Perfect. Phil Gons pointed out Jer 22:29 in the OT with land, land, land. Thanks for the quick response.

Interesting how you did this. I have the Gold edition of Logos 8. I don't know how to duplicate what you did. Perhaps it's not available in 8. How did you get to that screen? I typed in "Morph Query Builder" in the search engine and got a Logos Help note that it was in the Document Menu. I went to Docs and did a search but did not find it.

The others fit into two categories:
- The Hebrew or Greek lemma (the dictionary form of the word) occurs three times in a row, but it doesn't come through in the English translation.
- The Hebrew or Greek lemma occurs three times in a row, but there's a sentence break in between two of them.

Since you're using the original languages this might not count, but a number of translations for Jeremiah 7:4 three-peat "the temple of the Lord"

Bible Search using lemma's includes Jeremiah 7:4 three-peat of two words in Lexham Hebrew Bible
<Lemma = lbs/he/הֵיכָל> BEFORE 1 WORD <Lemma = lbs/he/יהוה>
Unfortunately, Morph Query looking for repeat of two words throws communication error message:

I didn't account for repeating phrases. I'm not sure if there are others. I'm having the same error as KS4J. I'll report it to the team.

Former discussion on this topic: Search for Words Repeated Three Times - "emphatic Semitic triplet".

Unfortunately, I'm monolingual. So I had no idea if this counted or not among those educated in Biblical languages [:)]

No worries. That's what we're here for. Yes, it does count. Good catch.
Here's the repeated phrase in Hebrew:
- הֵיכַ֤ל יְהוָה֙
- הֵיכַ֣ל יְהוָ֔ה
- הֵיכַ֥ל יְהוָ֖ה
Read right to left.
הֵיכָל = temple
יְהוָ֔ה = YHWH, Yahweh, or LORD
The construction requires inserting of between the two.
So this is a great example of a phrase being repeated three times. Once we fix the bug, I'll let you know if there are others.
