Import a Quran as PBB
Hello
Are there Milestones for the Quran, or how do I handle it to import a Quran as personal book?
Thanks
Fabian

sample milestone: Surah 45:1
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

""- PBB was intended to be a way to compile your own personal books. We aren't, for obvious reasons, interested in a creating a model where all of our users become competitors to ourselves, using our own tools. Taking public domain titles, building PBBs, and then sharing those PBBs for free is a great community service, but a bad business model for us, who ends up maintaining the storage, servers, tools, etc. Yes, yes, yes, we could price that into our business, etc. but... we didn't. And it's late to go re-engineer our entire pricing and business model to being a tools provider for user-shared content libraries. ""
Building Personal Books that might become or already are Logos resources is Bob's biggest problem with "Personal Books"
But on the other hand there are "Denominations" that Logos will NEVER adequately service and shared Personal Books are the only way their needs will be met! [[There are at least two forum groups that for all practical purposes are dead ]] [they do have a few active members]
And as for Bob's worry about " maintaining the storage, servers" he can just turn off the "upload" option.
And as for "maintaining (...) tools" He just has to commit to keeping the current level of them.
[I have about 300 PBBs for a denomination that Logos tried to get interested but ....(Not enough customers to make it go) I have not shared any.]

Danke für den Link, den habe ich auch gefunden. Aber wie du dir denken kannst will ich ein gemeinfreier Koran auf Deutsch importieren.

Thats what all want, even overpriced Bible softwares. Taking free stones and sell them on a table like the children on the streets.
BTW there are thousands of languages Logos will never address.

BTW there are thousands of languages Logos will never address.
And thousands of resources that LF will never address but wants to claim that they will get to them -- someday! [in the year 2525 or so]

Well said David. But as you know Zager & Evans song starts at 2525 and goes up ....BTW there are thousands of languages Logos will never address.

[[@Quran:Sura 2:24]] works. Maybe you can put this on the Logos Wiki for PBBs.
It is listed at https://wiki.logos.com/List_of_Datatypes#Other_datatypes

Hello
Does the Quran need field:on field:off tags?
Thanks

Thanks, but this list only list "Quran" not "Quran:Sura x:xx". It needs both to work. Or another one. 1Enoch is not in this list. And also only 1Enoch wouldn't work. As far as I found out it must be [[@Pseudepigrapha.1 Enoch 1:1]] And I'm even not shure if this is 100% correct, but it seems to work.

OR bible:"Enoch 1:1" works fine (I got this from Swete's LXX)
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Palmer has quran:"Surah 45" while the Arabic has quran:"Surah 45:10–11"

Yes, Palmer seems to use the Warsh not the Hafs. This is common for Quran translation released before 1924.
