Ctrl- Alt-C

Ctrl-Alt-C to copy reference location no longer works [it used to].
   3 dots to copy still works, but not keyboard-short.
   This is a terrific feature to copy location, go to Word, Ctrl-K, and paste hyperlink.
      ¿Perhaps some “update” knocked it out?

Since a call to Logos tech support:

1) I deleted / reinstalled L8 on Win 10; downloaded all resources & data sets
2) I did online repair to MS Office 2016

2nd call to Logos - Logos concluded it’s a MS problem.
Logos do not support VMs but “we’ll do our best.” Thank you!

I run Logos 8 on Win 10 via VMWare Fusion 11.1.0 (13668589)
   After steps 1 & 2 above, I reinstalled VMWare Tools

I still cannot Ctrl-Alt-C to copy reference as L4 and then go to Word, Ctrl-K to open Hyper-Links and it does not paste as before; but it pastes ok from Logos Mac.
   Opening 3 dots, click on L4 works ok.

Program setting are precisely the same on both Mac & W10.
I can Cmd-Opt-C and that will paste into Word in W10

In a call to Microsoft tech support, he Uninstalled msOffice32 and Reinstalled msOffice64.

The same problem remains [after all that].

Apologies from being a bit confused about how to repeat reference location issue. Screen shot illustrations would be helpful; Logos wiki has => Screenshot FYI: phrase "go to Word" is ambiguous since Word can run on macOS and/or Win 10

Sounds like Logos 8 is running on Win 10 inside VMWare Fusion 11.1.0 on macOS 10.14.5 (with minimum of three places to check keyboard & clipboard preferences: Win 10, VMWare, macOS)

I have Logos 8 on Mac for when Win10 crashes and I need to keep working on Logos 8 Mac until fix. I do not use it often.

This Ctrl-Alt-C issue relates only to Office 2106 Pro on Win10 Pro via Fusion 11.

At your suggestion I've checked all options in MacOS, Word; and Fusion options and settings - problem remains.

This does not work:

If I am at Hebrews 9:14, Ctrl-Alt-C result: it does not copy the link. This was working last week, and I've no idea what changed.

This works:

If I am at Hebrews 9:14, 3 dots, then click L4 results in copy that I can paste in Win10 Word2016; Ctrl-K to open link, paste link results in working link to Hebrews 9:14 from Word document.

I cleared the Office 2016 clipboard, then tried above steps again, same results with both Click L4, and Ctrl-Alt-C.

Previous posts indicate steps already taken to this point.

Last week right-click quit working in my Windows 10. Right-click still worked in Logos. The fix was to run a complete scan by my anti-virus, then reboot.

Hoping a simple fix works for you,

Ctrl+Alt+C does not for me pick up the citation/reference.
(Which for me remains a dysfunction, since quite a while, through multiple updates of Logos and Windows maintenances.)

All other copy keystrokes and selections 'work' ... though I get very little difference between

When I execute the Ctrl+Alt+C keystroke, nothing goes to the W10 clipboard, so it's likely not a 'document paste' issue.

Much of what is in this post's description on the other hand did get here through the clipboard, all of which stuff I can still see in the clipboard's history.
(This dysfunction has been happening since before I enabled the Windows clip history.)

(It is 'nice' to see that were this working for me, it would remember the format I latest specifically used. (I want L4.)
However, it would not address the matter I addressed with the post, "Resource citation title link", https://community.logos.com/forums/t/191993.aspx.)

What are you anticipating will be pasted when pressing Ctrl+Alt+C in the Tanakh and pressing Ctrl+V in Word? Neither of your examples of "Styled" and "Lines" are what is expected to be pasted when copying the L4 link style using Ctrl+Alt+C and pasting into a word processor.

When I open the ESV, confirm the "Copy location as" is set to L4, click inside the resource to give it focus, press Ctrl+Alt+C, open Word, click inside to give the document focus, and press Ctrl+V I see

logosres:esv;ref=BibleESV.1Ch3.6

What do you see when you do that with the Tanakh? What are you expecting to see? What happens when you paste into Windows' Notepad app?

In ESV, yes indeed, "Copy location as" is set gray-boxed to L4.

(Keeping our testing focused, we’ll work only with the ESV for now.)

Then you instructed:

When I Ctrl+V into Word, I get “Thank you Thomas”, what I copied to the clipboard before running this test;

I get this in both Word and Windows’ Notepad.

I do not get the “logosres…” string; I only get that string when I click on the "Copy location as" L4 tag in the tab/panel’s menu.

(This seems consistent with my clipboard observation in my 1st post here that nothing goes to the clipboard with Ctrl-Alt-C.)

It is not so much SEE, as it is HAVE. I was actually hoping to get from the Ctrl+Alt+C copy — with the 1Ch 22:2 text selected — pasted into Word just what I do get ...

I have read variously however in the forum that my ‘hope’ above at “What are you expecting” is not possible even were L4 designated on the “Copy location as” line ….

But at least, it would be not so much annoying were I able to

select text,

Ctrl+C,

Ctrl+V,

then simply Ctrl+Alt+C the same selection,

and paste-edit the L4 string into the reference.

Without having to open the Logos panel’s ‘hamburger’ menu.

This is correct: “Styled” and “Lines” were done via the context menu.

Let’s leave these aside for now; they were attempts to the the 'hopeless'. [;)]

"clicking" refers to mouse click--right?

Assuming so, it sounds like you have a third-party application hijacking the Ctrl+Alt+C hotkey. I would follow the advice in the reply here with the check next to see if you can find what application is causing the problem.

Two possible candidates are Asus GPU Tweak II and ClipMate.

Due your prodding [:D] I found what had taken ownership of Ctrl+Alt+C, a file-sharing app called Jumpshare: Because I don't use it often, I stopped my Startup start of it. (Even so, the app is very flexible re keystroke assignment.)

The keystroke shortcut is now working in Logos as advertised.

PS: I had talked earlier about the Styled and Lines results. My 'problem' with them was outright user misperception; I didn't see the bits that were off-screen, at the bottom of the Word document as footnotes; I'd expected the paste into Word to look like the result in Scrivener's RTF files, the 'footnotes' are put right after the text.
(The spellchecker doesn't recognize 'misperception' [:S] !)

PPS: As I noted elsewhere, I vote for text-selection Copy to have the designated link format (eg, L4) rather than the HTTP regardless.
