I’m new, can you tag verses in Logos
I have downloaded my first trial of Logos... In my last software, I have used tags to mark verses that are scattered about the Bible having to do with a given topic... Baptism, Salvation, etc. As I come across related verses, I would tag them to make it easy to locate later. How can I accomplish this in logos. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Highlighting sounds like what you are after. https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025819851-Notes-and-Highlights-Videos

Welcome [:)]
Thankful for Faithlife Corporation tagging of every Bible Pericope, which often has many Preaching Themes => Preaching Themes< Dataset (product page shows inclusion in several feature sets & Base Packages)
Thankful can search for word(s) WITHIN a Preaching Theme: e.g.
water WITHIN {Section <PreachingTheme = Baptism>}
sin WITHIN {Section <PreachingTheme = Salvation>}
Keep Smiling [:)]

I believe you want to identify verses so you can later search for them and find all those that are tagged with a specific topic, correct? If so, highlighting will not let you do this, as currently we cannot search for specific highlighting styles.
There is not a good way to replicate this feature in Logos. The best solution I can think of is to create a passage list for each topic and then add a verse to the correct passage list when you locate one. It isn't as simple as tagging, but we have no way to tag verses in Logos.
Perhaps someone will think of something easier.

Let me correct my initial reply. There are apparently some ways to locate highlights. You can consult the followings thread: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/185855/1072768.aspx#1072768
It's a bit cumbersome, but it might work for you. You'd need to design a custom palette for each topic so you could relocate them.

Hi Randy - and welcome to the forums
I would look at using Labels - see https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360028814371-Using-Labels#h.jyy5ycur335a for some context
I created a Highlighting Palette called Whole-Life Discipleship to try and track how his disciples responded to Jesus:
One of the labels I created was Disciple Action to show the different things they did in response to what he did, said, demonstrated, etc. I associated a number of "action attributes" with this label as below. Then, when reading through the Gospels, I labelled various verses - such as in John 2 - appropriately.
Now, by right-clicking on a verse with one of the labels, I can select the label and search for all similar occurrences
Hope this helps, Graham

I would think using Logos's Note's feature might work for you.
You can create a notebook titled with your topic and when you come across a verse you want to tag you can just add it to the appropriate notebook.
Since it is a note being attached to the verse, as long as you use the verse reference as an anchor it will show up in any version of the Bible you may have in Logos.
You can then even annotate the note. This way it can me more than just a tag.
Just an idea.
