Shout out for Sermon editor on Ipad
The sermon editor on the ipad is seamless and easy. I have the first generation Ipad 2 and teach a weekly Wednesday night study. I tried it out last week and was very pleased at the filled in handout part of the sermon editor with the text in a split screen. I had exported the handout and made copies for everyone and was also able to track with the handout with the Scripture off the Ipad. In addition, I appreciate the demographic info concerning who, what, when and where it was preached. One more thing is the synchronization between Ipad, phone, mac, and web app with the sermon editor. Thanks!

Looking again at Dan's post I don't understand it!
At the moment you can't edit sermons on the iPad, you can access ones created on the desktop or on the web app. So the same functionality as on Android

True. You cannot edit the sermon on the ipad, but I was referring to the specific tool title: "Sermon Editor".
Here are the features hopefully more clearer
1. The handout feature that allows you to export "fill in the blank" portions can be viewed with the "filled in" portions. The printed off handout for the congregants of course has the handout with the "fill in the blank" portions blank.
2. The handout (from Sermon editor) can be in one half of the screen, the Scripture in the other
3. As a presenter, it is helpful to see the underlining of the filled in portion while speaking.
4. One of the best features is the access to the completed document on the ipad (or android) so that you can have the most updated version. (that was created via the web app or on a desktop)

I'm sorry but I still can't see any reference to a "Sermon Editor" tool on the iPad app. Can you clarify? (And apologies for not seeing the point you are making)

Agreed - while I don't use the "fill in the blank" feature much (if at all) I find your point 2 is really, really helpful.

Agreed - I was doing some last minute changes yesterday during the service from my iPad on the web app and it updated the iPad app document seamlessly.

At the moment while the links are active on the desktop they are not active on the iPad - which is a real shame.

Please provide some more details - I don’t quite understand what you mean.
Which site are you accessing?
Are you using one of the Faithlife mobile apps - and if so which one?

I am having the same problem. I cannot locate the sermon I created with "Sermon Editor" (on my desktop) when I am using the iPad Logos app. I can find all of my "Notes" but not the "Sermon."

This is actually a different issue. Are you looking in the Sermons area on the iPad?

Thanks David for stepping in. Yes I am in the UK and have just seen this. Another reminder of one of the real values of these forums is their global nature and people being around 24 hours to help.
Charles - as David says we have seen no indication that Faithlife are planning to bring the sermon editing facilities to the iPad.
It is clearly something a number of people want but I would be surprised if it happens any time soon.
My guess, and this is all it is, is that we won’t see this unless and until there is a wider shift in tools and capabilities to the iPad environment. There are times when being able to make last-minute edits to a sermon during a service has been useful and I have been able to use the web app for that. On those occasions, having the native ability to edit sermons on the iPad would have been useful.
However, I do sermon prep on the desktop for a number of reasons. One of them is that the tools, guides, etc available on desktop are much more functional than those on mobile and so research and study is so much better. Within that context, it makes most sense to focus on sermon editor capability on desktop (and web app).
I realise it is different for those who have chosen to move the bulk of their activity to the iPad but - without migration of other capabilities to that platform as well - I think any sermon editing capability would be limited.
If the above is correct it might help to explain why Faithlife has not yet gone in this direction - but it might all be wrong!

When desktops/laptops and iPads are running on basically the same silicon solution we may some da facto movement in this area. The first 'apple silicon' MacBook Pro is expected quite soon.
