Since they are topical it seems Bible concordance may be a better type than commentary or monograph. Or maybe a new type for factbook. i will just wait and see when you are finished to decide on tagging. Thanks.

In WS I used "All the Mesianic Prophecies" and "All the Parables" and some of the others a lot. I like Herbert Lockyer works. For the most part Herbert has done good research into his work. If you don't have them, they are worth getting.

Since, as I understand it, Factbook (FB) searches almost all things... I would think FB would search through the "All" books also. Why not?

But I am still learning the ins and outs of FB. I like what I see so far..

The resource features an article for every occurrence of whatever type the resource is focused on. Articles in the resource show up as entries in Factbook whose Key Article is an excerpt from the resource.

These Factbook pages can be related to other Factbook pages, and you can find links in the See Also section that represent this relationship. So, the Factbook page for "Jesus" and "Jesus Walks on Water" are linked to each other in their See Also section.

The existence the Factbook pages and the relationships between the pages does not require a license to the "All the * in the Bible" resources, but the Key Article and resource do require the license.

The library resources themselves enable Factbook to display them as a Key Article.

The datasets enable you to search your Bibles for instances of the things this data is tagging. For example, you could search for {Label Miracle WHERE Agent ~ <Person Paul>} to find all the Miracles where Paul was the agent of that miracle. Each dataset has its own distinct list of properties that can be searched for.

How does one learn how to do all these formula searches and what the formula is? I have tried a couple of my own... and sat there and stared at a blank screen as results... so it is very apparent I don't know how to write these special formulas....

The easiest way to do/learn these searches is to find an example using the right click menu and start a search from there. Then edit it to match what you need, and rely on autocomplete as needed.

Example:

Right click on "Beginning" in John 1:1. On the left side of the context menu, find and select an Intertext label. Pick one that has similar properties to what you might be interested in. You might need to expand one of the groups of items to find one. Then from the right side, select the Basic search option. This will open a new search panel with as search like this: {Label Intertext WHERE Corpus ~ "Apostolic Fathers" AND Relationship ~ "Allusion" AND Target ~ <ApostolicFathers Ignatius to the Ephesians 15.1–2>}

If you want to find all other Allusions in the Apostolic Fathers, edit the search text to look more like this: {Label Intertext WHERE Corpus ~ "Apostolic Fathers" AND Relationship ~ "Allusion"}

Also, many datasets have associated documentation that can be found in your library by using the sidebar to filter on the type "Manual". Some of these resources will provide details on constructing searches for that dataset.

That's an oversight on my part MJ: we should add to the Introduction (which each of these resources should eventually have) to indicate how to do label searches. I'll add this to our task list.

I am running Verbum 9.1. I have Verbum Platinum. I have several of the "All the ..." resources, including "All the Miracles in the Bible". When I enter "Jesus Turns Water Into Wine", which is one of the entries in that resource, the Factbook does not link to that as a key article. Based on what I've read in this thread I would have expected it to. Here are the screenshots, one from the Factbook, the other from the resource "All the Miracles in the Bible".

I can confirm Greg's finding regarding "All the Miracles". It does show in the dropdown list in Factbook as "miracle", just not linking the key article.

Yup, this is a bug we caught a couple days ago that applies to that specific resource (and perhaps one other). It is fixed and should be available in an upcoming beta.

For now, this should work correctly at https://app.logos.com/tools/factbook if you are anxious to try it out.

It works in Beta 2 9.2 on Verbum, I suspect they sneaked the fix in before beta 2 came out?
