Logos 9 at home but Logos 8 at work?
I purchased Logos 9 and installed it at home and everything works well. However, when I log on at work I still have Logos 8 and I have installed all available updates and restarted the PC several times. Am I missing something?

I assume you are using the same credentials...
What are the specs on your work computer? What specific OS?

My guess would be that your work computer has an older OS that's not compatible with Logos 9, so it won't update automatically.

I have a desktop with Windows 8.1 and Logos 8.17 is the latest version. It won't jump to Logos 9.
My laptop has Windows 10 and it has the latest Logos 9 version.
Generally it works well.
Logos 9 passage guide has an option to classify commentaries, I am missing that in Logos 8.
In Logos 9 it is possible to have folders in the toolbar. Logos 8 just ignores the folders but in my case the desktop screen is so wide that missing folders is no problem.
Practically all resources are same but Logos 8 may miss some features and datasets.
For my daily use it does not make any practical difference. Actually I esteem the Faithlife team very high as things work so well between those two versions!

I think you know this, but it won’t update to 9 because it is incompatible with windows 8.

Thanks JTA, I know that - although based on my understanding L9 would run fine in W8. The Logos setup program prevents the install, due to security concerns.
Regarding to the security, I've heard that the home WLANs/Wi-Fis might be a big problem currently when many of us are working at home. This goes off topic, but probably needs FL attention soon.

FL personnel are is competent than I am to evaluate this claim, whether it is a serious warning and what should be done.
In Finland most home networks are implemented with WLANs, often with inexpensive routers. I guess most of them are left on manufacturer's default settings.

That is true (and has always been true), but how is it related to users & logos?

The first thing that comes into my mind is that FL could give some advice to Logos users how to check and improve the security of their home networks. That would also improve the security of the servers that provide services to FL and other business customers.

TrendMicro are a reputable company to offer security advice. Better to hear from them than from Faithlife whose expertise is elsewhere. That said, the gist of the thread is that ISP-supplied routers and modems are often badly secured and/or use default passwords. If ISP-supplied router is a few years old, that’s likely to be even more true. Contact them for an upgrade, or even better, if you have the expertise, get a router designed for small businesses, such as those supplied by Draytek, Cisco, ASUS or Synology.

Trend Micro is pointing out that home networks are often poorly secured (due to low quality home routers), and that if employees are working at home with privileged access to their corporate networks, attackers might focus on home networks as the easiest entryway into a corporate network. (Faithlife's security policies for employees recognise and address this threat.)
Logos users with compromised home networks shouldn't have any particular impact on Faithlife servers; from a security perspective, all remote requests are treated as potentially malicious.

At home I am using Windows 10 (Fully updated) but at work Windows 7. I think the number of responses to my questions have verified that Logos 9 is not fully compatible with Windows 7 so that is likely the issue.

Thankful for FL announcement on 12 Jul 2019 => ANNOUNCEMENT: End of support for Windows 7, Windows 8.1 & MacOS 10.11–10.13 that promised end of support for a number of older operating systems. Hence Logos 9 & Verbum 9 require newer 64-bit operating systems:
