Typo in Lectionary

For the first reading in the Catholic Daily Readings (U.S. Lectionary) for Ascension of the Lord, Mass during the Day, Year B (link), it says:

While meeting with the them,
he enjoined them not to depart from Jerusalem

The Lectionary for the Mass has the correct text. I normally report typos via Verbum, but there doesn't seem to be a "Report Typo" action I can take on the lectionary.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I've reported the "Gospel Acclamation" for all the Masses on Pentecost as missing for two years in a row.

It should be: "Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth."

    It just says "Text" now.

I'm not able to reproduce this. Just out of curiosity: what is your preferred Bible?

    It just says "Text" now.

When you use Catholic Daily Readings. Bellingham, WA: Faithlife, 2009. this is the expected result as the text has no Biblical reference and was built from a table of readings without copyright access to the actual liturgical texts.

For Catholic Daily Readings  (U.S. Lectionary). Bellingham, WA: Faithlife, 2016. I do not know the answer.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I'm not able to reproduce this.

    This is working as expected:

    Err 4

    =============================================================================

This is what he is reporting - when the text is not Biblical (note: this is what I expected)

    Err 2
    Err 3

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Donald Antenen reported it, the actual Gospel Acclimation was put in there, and was in there for a few days, but now it seems to have been removed.

It's in the Lectionary but I think it should be in "Daily Catholic Readings" because everything else is there, but the Gospel Acclimation both at the top and further down where the readings are given.

It was fixed but not any more!

because everything else is there, but the Gospel Acclimation
It may have changed but as the person who provided Verbum with the table of readings, I can assure you that "text" is what was originally there. The data I collected also included the entrance and communion antiphons which were rightly deleted as belonging to the Missal.

Both resources show in my library with Oct 13, 2020 as the last updated date.

Now the Lectionary has the error and "Daily Catholic Prayers" does NOT have it.

While meeting with the them, he enjoined them not to depart from Jerusalem,

United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. (1998–2002). Lectionary for Mass:

    Compare:

While meeting with them, he enjoined them not to depart from Jerusalem

Catholic Daily Readings. (2009). Bellingham, WA: Faithlife.

Progress, the errors are moving from one place to another.

and "Daily Catholic Prayers" does NOT have it

Am I correct in assuming there is a typo in the title?

This resource Catholic Daily Readings. Bellingham, WA: Faithlife, 2009. simply selects the text from your chosen Bible. Any error in the Biblical text would be and error in the Bible itself not the document you are viewing. The text does not have the lectionary editing that you will find on the USCCB site.

This resource Catholic Daily Readings  (U.S. Lectionary). Bellingham, WA: Faithlife, 2016. selects the text from the official lectionary providing the edited text for proclamation. This should match what you see on the USCCB site except for recent changes.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Yes, "Text" was originally there, but I think it should be whatever the words are as the other words are given when they have biblical references. It makes it easier when reading this at Mass.

"Text" was originally there, but I think it should be whatever the words are as the other words are given when they have biblical references.

Unfortunately you run into copyriight issues. One can easily support the use of the Bible references being copyright right free by virtue of their broad distribution without copyright notification. You have no leg to stand on when it comes to reproducing a particular text that is under copyright. Faithlife acquired the rights to the official lectionary long after Catholic Daily Readings. Bellingham, WA: Faithlife, 2009. was produced.

When Catholic Daily Readings  (U.S. Lectionary). Bellingham, WA: Faithlife, 2016. was produced Faithlife had the right to produce the lectionary text as a lectionary. They don't have the right to pilfer it to meet other needs - they need to specifically negotiate for that right.

When looking at issues such as this, one needs to set aside what one wants the answer to be and look first of the legal limitations built into standard copyright contracts/laws.

Catholic Daily Readings had the error at first, but that's been corrected. I did a text comparison with my default NABRE Bible, that's OK also.

However, the Lectionary still has the error:

    While meeting with the them,
he enjoined them not to depart from Jerusalem,

United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. (1998–2002). Lectionary for Mass: For Use in the Dioceses of the United States of America (Second Typical Edition, Vol. I–IV). United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Using a Find against the panel, I found one occurrence of the typo - which I used the typo reporting function in the Context Menu (right-click) to report. I found it in the first reading for the Ascension.

The problem is in the original, as thousands of Google results for the phrase will tell you.

Yes indeed. I'm updating the lectionary which, when it ships on June 8th, should solve the problem in the lectionary.

Incidentally, while researching the issue on our end I found at least one other resource that must have copied their text directly from the lectionary of the mass because they had the issue as well.
