Reading Plan: Bible-in-a-year podcast
Maybe this is a bit late in the game, but for any people who are going through Fr. Mike Schmitz's "Bible-in-a-year" podcast, I made a reading plan in Verbum that follows the daily readings:
I got tired of trying to quickly type in the next reference while listening to the podcast. Even apart from the podcast, it's a nice way to read through the Bible in more or less chronological order, but with daily meditations from the Psalms and Proverbs thrown in.
Anyway, just sharing in case anyone finds it useful.

The more we can get people to read the Bible the better.

I agree. And https://verbum.com/product/205641/a-catholic-introduction-to-the-bible-the-old-testament is not a bad companion to the OT part of that reading.

Is there a New Testament companion available?

The NT companion is not yet available (in print or digitally).

On a related note, is there any word on the ICSB Old Testament volumes? These have yet to even show up in pre-pub...

I don't have any timeline on it, but I hope/plan to see more Ignatius titles.

Thanks, Donald.
[Y]I hope/plan to see more Ignatius titles.
Among others, Jeremy Holmes' recent monograph would be a great addition.

Is anyone planning to use this podcast this year? Will it work for 2022, if I just reset it to start on January 1?
I kept up for a couple months and then prioritized some other things for a bit. I would like to try this again.
I'd love to see some packages from Ascension Press that are coordinated together and designed to support their classes. Shipping is high to have the hardcopy books mailed by snailmail, when signing up for a course. Access to the online book expires in a year, along with access to the course. I'd love the option to be able to purchase the book for Logos, instead of a hardcopy.
Logos has the timeline, but it is an outdated edition that does not match the current resources.
Maybe it would be conflict of interest for Logos and Ascension to work together, but as a customer, I would love to explore the options that such a partnership could produce. As this pandemic continues and many of us are converting to more digital lives, I am seeking digital options for activities and resources that I previously accessed offline.
