Passage study layout

Is this standard behaviour and will Factbook & Bible Word Study tabs always be shown, or is there a way to avoid this?

No, this is not standard behavior and I am having trouble figuring out how you are getting this problem. Can you capture a screen shot of the whole screen with the layout menu open showing where you are saving it.  You have to have had the BWS and Factbook active in your layout ... but in a way that was less than obvious.

You write "you have to have BWS and Factbook active". That might be the problem. I don't have these in the Passage Study Layout.

Just close Factbook and Bible Word Study in current Layout and select Replace with current layout and you should be good to go.

I have done that a dozen times. I have also chosen "Restore default layout", and from there changed the layout again and saved it. All to no avail. And the article in the factbook remains "Prison". Something is logged somewhere, and I don't know where to physically delete files.

Ok, here's another idea. Once you've closed Factbook and Bible Word Study, type Update active layout in the Go box then select Go.

I have again gone back to the standard. Then I set up the Passage Study Guide from scratch, and with the Layouts button, selected under "Quick Start Layouts" the line Passage study, and chose "Replace with current layout".

If I now choose a passage in the "Go box" I can choose in the category Layout "Open Passage Study Layout to xxxx", and I get the layout as shown in the picture above.

But if I go to the Layouts button, then to the Passage Guide Layout, and choose Load, then I get the new layout I just created, as described in the first line of this post.

Any suggestions?

And this makes no difference. But loading from the Layouts icon does. How do I remove the wrong layout from the Go Box?

Report as a bug. It behaves differently for me, but it is not performing as expected. Edit: Reference this thread.

You have edited the QuickStart layout, but you need to edit the Home Page layout instead.

The QuickStart layouts are just for manual use. They aren't opened automatically with anything.

Thank you. That was the solution I was looking for. Not quite sure I understand the purpose of the QuickStart layouts, but it now works as I wanted.
