Finding waw-disjunctives in Hebrew
I want to count all the waw-disjunctives in Genesis. My idea right now for getting at an approximate number of the waw-disjunctives involving a Noun (phrase) is to search the Lexham Discourse Hebrew Bible for Topical Frames:
<LDHB = Topical Frame>
But this also gives me instances of fronting with no waw. So how to I make sure the that the phrase marked as a Topical Frame begins with a waw? I thought I could make a first pass with
<LDHB = Topical Frame> INTERSECTS ו
But no results. Anyone else have any ideas?
(It would be nice to skip the discourse marking and just create a search in which a noun phrase with prefixed waw- precedes the verb that it is the subject/object of. But It's not obvious how to do that. And then there would be the non-verbal clauses to deal with..)

There is no simple Search solution and I can only work with the Hebrew constructs you have supplied!
<LDHB = Topical Frame> produces results in a number of Hebrew bibles, but
<LDHB = Topical Frame> INTERSECTS ו
only gets results in SESB 2, but it is not sufficient to ensure the Topical Frame begins with the waw (INTERSECTS means it can be anywhere in the Frame).
I get more success with <LDHB = Topical Frame> INTERSECTS lemma:וְ but I'm not sure if that is the correct waw-conjunction.
I will try a Syntax Search later

This might be what you are after
The first Clause IC is described as "A coordinating waw that is typically the first constituent in a clause".Dave

This is great, Dave, thanks very much. I should learn how to do syntax searches! This gets me off to a good start.

Part of my strategy for syntax search is starting with a Morph Search:
lemma:וְ BEFORE 1 CHARS <LogosMorphHeb ~ N?????> BEFORE 1 WORD <LogosMorphHeb ~ V????????>
Morph Search can be refined:
Morph Search shows verses that Syntax Search should include (have experienced needing to expand Syntax Search to include relevant verses).
