Turkish Bible?
My wife and I are doing evangelist Bible study with Turkish people. I am disappointed that I could not find a Turkish Bible in Logos. It is available in some other Bible apps, but I would like them to become comfortable using Logos, since they also understand English.

Thanks. I was hoping that the state of affairs might have improved since the discussion in 2014 - 2015.
The free YouVersion is my go-to app for reading digital Bibles in nearly any language. They claim to have 2,556 versions in 1,743 languages. It is great for Bible reading and many Bibles have audio versions, but there are no study tools or reference books. By contrast Logos has Bibles in comparatively few languages, but with awesome study tools.
If Logos made available free basic eBook Bibles in many of these languages, it could be a big draw for Bible readers to buy some kind of Logos base package or reference books. Once someone becomes familiar with a particular user interface, they become resistant to change to another program. Logos Basic is wonderful for English readers, but it would help if more Bible versions and languages could be added to it on demand.
The problem the personal book approach to the Turkish Bible discussed in that thread (https://community.logos.com/forums/t/98484.aspx ) is that personal books cannot be used in mobile apps. I usually use my phone and tablet when I want to read the Bible, since it is more comfortable and book-like than using a computer. By contrast I usually use my laptop when I want to study the Bible and use reference books. Personal books should be available in a user's account regardless of the device.

This sentiment is shared by many users (probably all who use PBs in any way whatsoever) - it seems that Bob still needs some convincing to get on board. Maybe this could be the next 'killer' functionality to make people sign up to FL Connect.

The problem seem to be the hundreds of bible societies that own the rights to translations - actually, while I never suspected WS was on sale and would come over to Logos, I had hoped that back when Bibleworks was leaving the market, FL would buy that software including the licenses to many international bibles.But eBook bibles IMO wouldn't be such a big magnet for users, as they lack all the functionality - versification is needed to work in the FL universe.

Yes. I know that dealing with the various Bible societies can be a big licensing mess. I have no idea how YouVersion pulled off getting digital licenses to Bibles in so many languages for free distribution.
There are Bibles in more than 250 languages available for free in STEP format. Converting these to Logos format would be a start.

I just meant that FL would not have to make these Bibles "research editions", with all of the rich tags that they put on most Bibles. This minimal tagging is what they have on the NASB2020 currently. As I recall a PB can have versification, so it would be nothing more than the type of functionality any user could have in a PB, except that the book would be available in mobile apps.

What you describe are from my understanding "normal" Logos research edition bibles, which include versification and the footnotes from the original, but don't have a Reverse Interlinear and no morphology (which brings all the rich tagging).

This issue is a great frustration point for me as well. It was something I was hoping the Wordsearch purchase would help address. Instead, I end up having to use Olive Tree as it has a desktop version and I can purchase all the International Bibles I need very reasonably (some even in multiple versions!). But I really want all of these in Logos instead of spread across multiple tools. Not sure why just about every other Bible software seems to manage this besides Logos. Maybe someday!
