Does anybody have the KJV docx for PBB?

I am looking for a PBB version of the ESV or KJV in docx (ideally with milestones, though it is fine if without) for a basis of a personalized study Bible. God bless.

Edit: I was unaware about the copyright of the ESV, I am still curious about the KJV (or another academic translation if public domain) in specifically PBB format, because I feel it will make the study far more in depth.

    David:

While I'm certain many other people will respond to this, I would say that since the ESV is under copyright, it would be both illegal and unethical for someone to share a PBB of the ESV text    The KJV (at least versions of the text before the mid-1920s) are pretty freely available online, but any (like the NKJV) that are since then are likewise most likely under copyright.

First, Calvin, thank you for all your MANY contributions.

But just as a fine-point, copyright is not the issue ... permissions is. And many of the modern translations allow (and apparently even encourage) personal-use (aka non-commercial).

As a result, thru the years, my own Bible software has an array of Bible version choices. But that said, I'd assume the 2 translations run afoul of Logos' own product offering (to include value-added). Don't know.

You are correct.  It is not a simple matter of copyright but getting permission from the copyright holders.

You are also correct: it runs afoul of the forum's policy of not sharing or posting works that are offered for sale by Logos. I should have mentioned that one, too.

(I actually didn't expect correction on the copyright issue.  I expected pushback on whether the four "editions" of the KJV were really editions [of which the NKJV purported to be the fifth] of if they were just "updates and corrections." and the KKJV was a totally new translation).

(I chucked when you thanked me for my MANY contributions when I note you have even more than me.   We just chime in when we think we can be a help.  Sometimes more of a help, sometimes less [as in this post perhaps!]).

What would a personal book do that the built-in notes tool would not do? I think that, while you can find many docx files of the KJV online, you can probably do what you want in a much easier way otherwise.

I wonder if ASV 1901 will work for you, see this old thread: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/42950.aspx - but as others wrote, the point of a study bible is in the notes, not the translation itself, and you could attach your notes (or even build a large PB-commentary with milestones running alongside the bible) to any existing bible in Logos.

Have joy in the Lord! Smile

Which KJV ? Wikipedia article about King James Version printing => https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_James_Version#Printing includes "He" and "She" variants in Ruth 3:15 (along with more anomalies: e.g. the Wicked edition that left out a NOT).

Logos Blog has => You've Probably Never Seen the Real King James Version

Faithlife offers their 2012 Lexham English Bible (LEB) for free => Lexham Intro Collection (5 vols.)

Also Free is Logos 9 Basic that includes a 1900 KJV with Reverse Interlinear (RI), which is quite helpful for Bible Study.

    Keep Smiling [:)]
